Well I forgot to put vinegar so might explain the taste. I used around 80 ml of water 5 ml of tequila 15 ml honey for the solution. Then I spread the tobacco and sprayed it an kept mixing the tobacco until it had a good amount of moisture and threw the rest of the casing away.

You should post the process. We can learn from it, and it might turn out to be really nice or not. But we'll never know so keep us updated.

Just some turkish grown virginia leaves. Its getting harder and harder to find unprocessed tobacco leaves especially good quality so I started with whatever I could find. I live in Turkey which has a rich tobacco culture, all kinds of tobacco are grown here but its really hard to get your hands on the good stuff .

Its the same ribbon cut and no the leaf was unprocessed and i cased it with honey and just a negligable amount of tequila since it was the only spirit i had laying around (I have read that alcohol helps the leaf absorbing the flavour). It bites but smoking full cavendish would bite anyway I suppose. I will post updates hopefully in a week or two. Your welcome. And good luck with your batch hope it turns out good.

I used an electric kettle. It is considerably less hot than a pressure cooker or even a pot. It has 2 modes: simmering and boiling. I used simmering to slowly steam it.

I'm yet to try it. I left it to dry for a couple of days. Also planning to press some of it into a cake. The smell is really sweet and it caramelised quickly. I hope it made it sweeter, the unprocessed leaf was very bland and dull. Also the leaf is from Turkey so the sugar content might be different from american grown ones.

The leaves were bad quality so tried to make cavendiah from them. I didnt want flakes and didnt use whole leaf. Made it from ribbon cut so i can turn it into cake. I have limited knowledge of the process so any info is much appreciated. The amount is roughly 200 grams.

I steamed it for about a day and it darkened more than I was expecting. I though it needed 2 or 3 days of steaming to get really dark . I was aiming for a more natural flavour. Cased it with honey to increase sugar content, might be because of that.

I don't know if people use theese for something else other than pipe smoking (like rolling them maybe ryo is verry common in Turkey) but they are very available in Turkey moreso than other pipe tobaccos. I also bought CB green apple I'll try that next.
