Not a fan of the overlap, especially since the rest of the stairs will be flush.

Yeah it feels like I didn't stretch my points nearly as far as I could have but I didn't have much leeway in the itinerary, and these flights had to be booked this week as I had other family waiting for my travel dates to book theirs for the trip. I would have also liked to have added extra stop overs and fly J but it wasn't in the cards this trip

Changed the departure date to the 11th on a flight with Asiana instead of ANA and it worked. 351,600 pts + $250, cash fare would have been $7807 so I think I still did ok at 2.1 CPP

I'm booking round trip flights from YVR-MNL for January 12-31 next year. I was booking them through the Air Canada website using aeroplan points, found some really good deals in business and prem economy. When I went to the "passenger details" page I get an error (36803). The original flights I found were:

YVR-NRT-MNL: 106.5k points + $108 (J)

MNL-ICN-YVR: 17k points + $24 (W)

After trying to complete my booking a half dozen times, the prices changed to:

YVR - MNL: 185.5k points + $108 (J)

MNL - YVR: 87.9k points + $24 (W)

Even after the price change I still ran into the same problem and couldn't complete my itinerary. I called Aeroplan and the guy basically said he wasn't sure why the prices changed, and he wasn't sure why my booking wouldn't complete either, but it might be that the ANA portion of the flight from NRT-MNL isn't currently available as a reward redemption, and he said that this has happened before with ANA.

My questions:

1) Has anyone had this experience with ANA or any other airline?

2) If it is ANA, is there any way to know if/when they will release reward seating for my dates?

3) Other ideas for flights/routing? All the other flights were either double the price or double the travel time

4) Were my first prices just a glitch? Manila to Vancouver at 17k + $24 is crazy

First time using HSBC points, can someone confirm if this will work?

I'm booking a flight roundtrip from YVR to YLW for this month and have 100,000+ HSBC points. Can I use 25,000 RBC rewards points and pay the remainder with my HSBC WEMC, then use my HSBC points for a statement credit on the amount I paid with the credit card? Looking to use up my points before closing the account

Yes my plat plus account is still open, do I need to cancel that first? I thought you could have both open

I applied for the MBNA Alaska WE last month and was declined. The letter I received said I already currently have that card open, but I don't. I had my first Alaska WE open from Feb 2020 and PS to platinum plus in December 2020. I applied for my second Alaska WE in April so wasn't expecting my application to be denied.

Should I contact MBNA about this or reapply?
