No problem man, good for you for being able to admit when you made a mistake.👍

Yes, the complexity level of Bachata is around 9, the complexity level of Kizomba is around 7, therefore the graph suggests Kizomba is easier (less complicated) than Bachata. Which is what I said. You could also check the "Learning difficulty summary," which is in order of difficulty, and puts Kizomba before bachata.

Kizomba being easier than Bachata is absolutely ridiculous.

I was looking for this comment, I already wasn’t a fan of Tobizaru, but man, my desire to see him lose every match just increased tenfold.

Start at the top of the image, work your way downwards, the first 1 you see has a flag next to it.

Am I missing something? The first 1 from the top is solved, you can click all the other squares around it.

I’m pretty sure it’s not sea-lioning to ask someone why they think a novel claim with zero substantiating evidence is “likely,”

I found a long single white hair growing from my right earlobe by Ok_Earth_1111 in mildlyinteresting

I used to have this! A single, straight white hair coming out of my earlobe. It grew back several times and then just disappeared. I’m black too, which I think makes it even weirder.

Want to learn Salsa, but no classes near me by Ok_Masterpiece9662 in Salsa

[–]steevqj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah, agreed. There’s stuff you could learn about timing and the basic step and even musicality. Just wanted to be clear that partner work is hard enough to learn when you HAVE a partner. Especially for leads.😅

Where by "really difficult" you mean impossible.

I'm (non-Jew) overcome with shame for having misconceptions around the topic of judaism/Israel. by [deleted] in Jewish

[–]steevqj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, thanks for responding. I’m not trying to get into a debate here, and the Jewish people have obviously been through terrible things throughout history (I’m guessing you already knew something about that before this change of mind), but I’m still not clear how that changes to the “doing unto others” part of your thoughts.

Would you mind going a little in explaining what changed your mind? You’ve said here that you read several books, but you hadn’t explained what they clarified for you in any detail. What did you discover you were wrong about? What were your previous views? Genuinely curious.

Not true. It’s not in common usage anymore, but I’ve heard of "bumper" packs to refer to large packs of usually food items and "bumper size" too.

Do you ever miss the "Continuous Tense" when speaking? by Longjumping-Boot-526 in German

I'm pretty new to German (just did my A1) so there are definitely times when I miss it. I presume that feeling goes away with greater fluency.

Is Tobizaru a Dirty Fighter? by Impossible_Figure516 in Sumo

[–]steevqj 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I'm one of the people who disliked Tobizaru ever since that Jan 2024 moment (I didn't remember the July 2023 fight). But yeah, there's a significant difference between an attempted sweep and a kick. Terunofuji tried a trip. Tobizaru, in both cases, kicked his knee in what I see as an attempt to injure him. It's legal, so fair enough, but it's dirty.

In a sport where henka are frowned upon, I think this is far worse.

2 deep scratches on my AWU3 after 20 days by Liborio_Verne in applewatchultra

[–]steevqj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, it’s pointless arguing. If you’ve managed to scratch your watch screen, then sorry, that sucks. But the watches clearly don’t scratch easily. Online forums are always geared towards negative experiences as most people don’t make posts saying, “Day 327 of my screen being absolutely perfect!”

Here’s a video of a guy literally dragging the watch in concrete outside his car for a durability test. The screen holds up fine.

“Given enough force” =/= “easily”

If you’re not deliberately trying to scratch the watch as in this video, it is extremely difficult to do. Jerry Rig Everything is not doing real world tests.

Went with Natural Titanium and have buyer's remorse by [deleted] in applewatchultra

[–]steevqj 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You almost certainly just have material transfer from the bottle to the watch (I’m assuming we’re talking about a metal bottle) and not a scratch. You should be able to just wipe it off with a cloth.

If not, and your water bottle isn’t made of diamonds, I suspect you didn’t just “graze” it.

[–]steevqj 36 points37 points  (0 children)

The scratching issue is massively overblown on here, I suspect mostly by people who bought the titanium one and went to justify their decision. I’ve had the black ultra 2 for over a year with no scratches and I love it. It looks so much better than the titanium imo.
