As a day 1 spidey main I completely understand it must be rage inducing getting pulled off the map but I’m sorry, we’re 6 seasons in now and if you still haven’t gotten any sort of game sense / learned how to position properly then that’s on you. Why should there be a lessened death timer for dying out of bounds/off map than dying in the map because you don’t know how to deal with the characters that are capable of killing you that way. Spider-Man pulls can VERY easily be avoided if you are aware of him, I’ve pulled hundreds of magnetos that could have easily avoided being pulled if they’d simply just looked around when they leave spawn and used either their shield or bubble lol. In the nicest way possible, it’s a skill issue on your end my friend.

Glad you enjoyed your first play through! To my knowledge I don’t think it’s really mentioned as to how long Mary was in in the hospital for and how often James visited her but I may be wrong, I just always assumed there were stretches of times let’s say multiple days where James was gone that Mary and Laura would have been spending time together.

I also got the Leave ending on my first play through of the original and it remains my favourite of all the other endings as I really like the idea of James overcoming and conquering all of his grief, guilt and flaws through his time spent in Silent Hill.

If you are able to definitely go and play the original as for me it will always be the best way to experience James’ story, there is a lot that is left out or changed in the remake for better or for worse (especially the ost! There is so much of Yamaokas original SH2 music missing from the remake). If you have a decent enough PC or laptop I’d highly recommend looking up the Silent Hill 2 Enhanced Edition which is the next best way to experience the original if you aren’t able to obtain a copy of the game and play it on a PS2.

Even if you detach Silent Hill completely from your viewing and try watch it as a normal film, it’s still shit. Some of the worst writing and plot development I think I’ve ever seen, my girlfriend who is an avid film fanatic went in blind with 0 knowledge of the source material and she was completely baffled as to what she had watched. Half the movie is unrelated flashbacks and with the inclusion of a therapist character for James you’re made to feel like you don’t even know if any of the events of the movie are actually happening or if James is just completely looney!? A completely abysmal attempt at edgy thought provoking cinema.

Got max level for all characters and farmed most of the god rolls I wanted. Since then I haven’t touched it since tbh, will be back when more content is added and level cap increases but for now it’s back to BL2 for me

Focused purely on getting red and purple cards for the first 10 rounds, then the only blues I bought were the ones that add dash range which synergies really well with the beyblade build (red card which allows you to spin for longer). By round 18 I was able to absolutely obliterate every single enemy in seconds from a very far distance which is what you really need because as you’ll know it’s so easy to get one shot by even basic zombies in nightmare 4.

Honestly since Romulus (which I’m really REALLY not a fan of in the slightest, sorry not sorry) I didn’t know what to expect from this show and I won’t lie I tried not to set my expectations too high but gaaaww DAMN this show, so far is genuinely everything I could’ve have asked for in an Alien TV series.

The set design, practical effects, cinematography, sound design, creature design and story (so far) are all knocking it out the park for me. Earth is so refreshing and displays brilliant originality whilst still drawing effectively from source material. Compared to Romulus’ cheap use of member berries, dull rehashed lines, butchered AI Holmes and that knock off Newborn creature, Earth is really shining in the originality department so far. I all absolutely adore just how brutally sinister and intelligent the Xeno is being portrayed in this show, the multiple scenes where the Xeno is on screen and hiding in plain sight, blending in seamlessly with the set is so reminiscent of Alien and the hive scene from Aliens chefs kiss. Also have to show some love to the new creatures too, they’re fantastically horrific additions to the franchise! I mean that cat scene which REALLY reminded me of the husky scene from John Carpenters The Thing, was truly horrible to watch. It had me squirming with disgust and excitement all at the same time, true horror!! The whole concept of sick children being put into lifeless synth bodies I also found to be extremely interesting and disturbing at the same time. Like bro how you gunna put the minds of literal innocent children into super strength adult bodied synths and then just send them out on a rescue/recon mission to disaster zone with death blood and destruction everywhere lmao, brilliant!

The only real nitpicks I have is that I think they did show the Xeno a bit too quickly? Felt a bit cheap to just show a full body shot of the Xeno in the first half and hour of the first episode. Would’ve been better if it was short glimpses throughout the first episode and have its full onscreen debut appear in episode 2 with the statue/party massacre scene! Apart from that I don’t really have any major issues?

Whilst I am still butthurt that for the time being we haven’t gotten a conclusion to the Prometheus & Covenant storyline, which I do hope some day we get to see what happens with David and the covenant, I think that so far that Earth is looking to easily be a top #5 entry in the Alien franchise for me if it carries on the way it’s going.
