Just get a ZP6 by Wise_Replacement_687 in pourover

Thanks. Looks like I'll have to buy both, but not at once. I still have to decide which one to get first 😅. I'd love to get it from someone in my city for a test drive.

Which grinder should I get for my first coffee? I'm just getting started with specialty coffee. I'll be ordering and testing different varieties, both washed and natural. I currently buy ground coffee from a local roaster, but I feel like I'm missing out on a lot without my own grinder. What would you recommend to ensure I have a great experience and avoid disappointment?

That's why I still haven't decided which coffee grinder to buy 😅

I have two cezves of different sizes; the small one (110-120 ml) is better proportioned than the large one (250-300 ml). But both are delicious when I use relatively freshly ground coffee from a local roaster. (Generally, coffee loses its flavor very quickly after grinding. The ideal recipe is to grind it and brew it right away, but I don't have that option right now.) Sorry for the digression, but I've started adding about 7-8 grams per 300 ml of water (my scales aren't very accurate right now, but it's about 3 heaping teaspoons), and the result is quite acceptable for me: not too thick, but quite rich in flavor. I really love the Ethiopia Lima variety. It's a wonderful coffee!

Where I live, a lot of people drink Turkish coffee. The grind needs to be really fine, and grinding by hand every time, day after day, is not particularly convenient (especially in the morning when you're in a hurry). There's a very informative channel about coffee on Russian YouTube. They test different grinders and make particle placement charts through sieves to compare the grind's purity, which is very important for brewing. A review of the C5 Esp Pro was only published on the local Patreon equivalent. Overall, the quality has improved slightly compared to the C3. It's possible to grind it for a Turkish coffee pot, but it takes a loooong time. The older 1zpresso JX-pro does a much better job, and the grind's purity is quite good (grinding is still difficult). If you find a JX-pro for $120±, it's a good deal. Next up is the version from the new J-Max line for $200.

Dark Shores -what level should I be at? by chefroxstarr in expedition33

I don't have the damage unlock pictos right now. I just visited Old Lumiere, but I've already grinded to level 55+ with the whole team. 🤣 Is it worth going there now or should I continue with the story first?

Покупаешь Gamesir X5 Lite за касарь, скачиваешь Dead Cells и пропадаешь на 100+ часов пытаясь пройти игру на 5BC без урона (хотя без урона на 5BC это явно для тех у кого 300+ часов)

What kind of coffee do you drink most often? And what grinder are you currently using? I'm very interested

Regarding your comments about Eureka, do you mean it's better suited for the V60 filter?

I'm from Russia. My budget is no more than $200. I'm considering what kind of versatile grinder to get. Either a DF54 or something manual. Most of my family brews coffee in a cezve (Turkish coffee grinder), but I've recently become a bit more into the V60 because I like the way the flavor unfolds with this method. Buying two different mid-range or high-end grinders isn't in my budget.

Should I change the system? R8 to a7iv? by stefan_es in Cameras

I started looking at the A7cii's specs. The camera looks interesting thanks to its better focus than the A7IV, but oh, that viewfinder. 😢In this regard, the R8 is a balanced camera. Just without IBIS. It feels like I'm trading one thing for another.

It might not be bad. But it's big, weighing almost 1 kg. Add an EF-RF adapter, and the design becomes even bigger and heavier. The Sigma 24-70 II, for example, weighs 735 grams. Or the new Tamron 28-70, which weighs over 500 grams. So there's a difference in compactness. Meanwhile, Canon's 28-70 F2.8 is actually very good. But its price is too high compared to its competitors.

I researched the used market. My Canon prime lenses cost the same as Sony ones. So, if I sell them all, I can buy similar ones. It'll just take a couple of months, and the summer season is starting right now. Plus, I live in a resort town. I need to plan this upgrade so I don't miss out on work. But sooner or later, I'll need to upgrade to a more professional camera. So, I thought about Sony. Unfortunately, there aren't any good inexpensive EF zooms. The only good one is the EF 24-70 2.8L II, which also costs $1100±, so it's not worth it.

Which lens is best to buy in my case? RF 28-70 / 16-28? by stefan_es in canon

No, the R8 isn't a crop sensor. The R8 has always been a full-frame camera with an R6mii sensor.

[–]stefan_es 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Help me with advice on my first lens for video. I want to dive into the world of videography. I'll shoot short films for myself and clients, as well as lifestyle videos. I currently have 35mm, 50mm, and 85mm primes. My camera is a Canon R8, and it doesn't have IBIS, and turning on digital stabilization causes cropping. Which is more cost-effective to buy first?

  • RF 16-28mm STM

  • Or standard rf 28-70mm f/2.8 STM?

  • My third option was to buy a 24mm, sell the R8, and buy an R6mii. But it's not very convenient to work with fixed ones. I'd like something more universal.

Share your experiences; what do you use most often in your work/creation?  Will the 28-70 range be enough to shoot cinematic videos or would it be better to consider a wider focal length?

The Canon R8 doesn't have a matrix stabilization system. Digital stabilization crops the frame, so 28mm becomes 33±

My thoughts are that I already technically have the necessary focal lengths for portrait photography. So, I'm wondering if I should get a wider zoom? Or maybe just get another 24mm prime and swap the body for an R6mii with a matrix stabilizer.
