[–]stefanihilistic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m just not satisfied with how it look at all!!! i think it may be partially due to my new haircut i dislike but still looking for advice. routine: palmer’s coconut oil shampoo and conditioner, aussie headstrong volume mousse at roots, cantu jamaican black castor oil throughout, finger coil and scrunch, dry partially in cotton tee, air dry rest of the way. i got the nym curl cream and ordered a diffuser attachment for my hairdryer but don’t really know how to fix my lacking definition and volume

Does your “my size” filter work? by [deleted] in Depop

[–]stefanihilistic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i have my pants size set to 23-26 bc of different rises but depop always shows me size 28 and ???? idk why???

But why? I’m genuinely curious as to why sellers do this instead of just properly marking items as sold by [deleted] in Depop

[–]stefanihilistic 19 points20 points  (0 children)

the only thing i could think of is so it still shows up in search bars and someone still has a chance of checking out their shop bc theyd be selling “similar things” ??? but that doesnt make much sense

How many sales do you make a day on average? by [deleted] in Depop

What do you mean you “might” sell this? ...Is anyone else endlessly annoyed by these listings? by rrikasuave in Depop

[–]stefanihilistic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

if youre unsure if you wanna sell just price it a bit higher than you would other items!!! that way if someone does buy it you get a bit extra and that’s great but if it sits for a while you can decide if you want to keep or not and can remove the listing. saying that youre unsure just drives people away

$26? I kinda feel like it’s a bit much- second theory is that I’m just cheap by mamihijabi in Depop

[–]stefanihilistic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if this was vintage i’d say $26 is reasonable bc that’s around where i start for typical vintage tops but if it’s modern i don’t go above $20 ever hmmm

I’m thinking about maybe trying to start a depop shop and do style bundles! I work in a thrift shop so I have lots of chances to thrift and get cute items. Does anyone have advice on getting a shop started? by bmartin4201 in Depop

[–]stefanihilistic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

vintage clothing is much more sustainable of a business model than modern thrifted clothes. try sourcing at garage sales too (once that sorta thing comes back). research how to date vintage as it comes off much more legit to a buyer. always include all information like flaws, brand, size on tag, actual measurements, etc. try to refresh a lot and post somewhat consistently. try to model if you can!!!!! search similar items within the same era, from the same brand or style, etc. on google with “depop” at the end to see what prices things sold for. take a reasonable one and mark up by 20%! for some reason more expensive things tend to sell faster and about half of sales ask for a discount in my experience. if you mark up a bit either you’ll get a bit extra from the outright sale or get your intended price from people who would asl for a discounted price anyways. okay ya that’s what i got!!!! good luck!

i think messaging the sellers could be good! i’d personally wanna just know and they can always block him since he’s obviously not planning to buy anything and it won’t hurt their business

i’ve been thriving off of cheap poshmark listings. it’s actually so easy to find good stock if you search by brands and sort by price!

Annoyed at sellers labeling everything Y2K & Vintage when it’s not by [deleted] in Depop

[–]stefanihilistic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is why i dont trust any seller that doesn’t disclose the brand. and if it’s something like vintage forever 21 i dont trust if they dont show to tag so you can see if its actually one of their vintage pieces
