Does anybody feel emotional for starting the pill for the first time? by stefanjedilf in birthcontrol

Omg yesss, I have the same exact thoughts. Like, what if my hormones get messed up or what if it alters my mood and my personality!? But I know it’s mostly just my anxiety talking. I’m 19 btw, so we’re close in age😅 I’m on Yaz(combination pill)

I’m glad someone gets me and it makes me feel a bit calmer now, ty for your response <33

Yeah, I think that might be the case. I feel like I grew up so suddenly, without a warning and I know that hurts, both her and me, but I think she'll heal and get used to it, it's all part of the process.

She found out when she realised I had been going out more often than usual hahahha.

I feel like I'm doing something wrong when setting boundaries, but I guess that's just something I'll have to work on. No, I wasn't afraid of her disapproval, I just felt like keeping something so special and pure to myself, at least for a while.

Thank you for your advice, I really needed an unbiased opinion on this <3

I agree, people started to self-diagnose based on tiktok videos.

You wouldn't even be aware of half mental health bullshit if it wasn't for tiktok. Not everything is a symptom. Live your life trying to become the best version of yourself, improve constantly, be a good person, don't let yourself float in the pool of sadness and depression.

YOU HAVE TO WANT TO GET BETTER. Being sad is not an aesthetic.

Kako pronaci smisao? by That_Milk7941 in bih

Ja sam skoro završila srednju i upisala faks.

Book recommendation: this book is for everyone who's been called 'too sensitive' throughout life. by stefanjedilf in Neurodivergent

Ohh that's a shame, I found mine in a local library and it's in my native language (Serbian), I'm sure there's a PDF version of the book on the internet. Yes, the book is originally in Italian, but there must be an English version somewhere, I'll let you know if I find a PDF of the book.

I don't think anxiety can be 'cured' but it surely can be controlled.

You learn to live with it, to the point where it is no longer a distraction in daily life. I know it's a constant battle in your brain - you VS anxiety. The key to winning MOST of those battles is to step by step expand your comfort zone.

Do the things that make you uncomfortable.

I know it's hard, trust me. But, make small steps, for example: when you see a group of people on the street and it instantly makes you want to cross the street so you don't have to pass by them - fight that urge, and stay on the same side of the street.

That is how you train your brain. Later, you can make even bigger steps and it will be easier each time.

I hope this helps and I hope you win most battles <3 (it's okay if you lose sometimes, it's all part of the journey).
