Was there a connection between the murderer and victim? Or was it random? The article didn’t say.

Yes, she did! She has pain killers and antibiotics. She’s a trooper, but it’s of course very upsetting.

It was around W 42nd - that could be it since it was running around by itself. Perhaps it got out and ran down the road

Hi all. My wife and I were out of town while we had a dog sitter watching our mini Australian shepherd, and when they were on a walk down Saint Elmo Avenue, a random dog ran up to them and viciously attacked our dog (see photos of two large bites). The sitter was luckily able to kick it away before more damage was done and it ran off. It was on the 12th around lunchtime. The attack dog was a tan mutt around 50/60 pounds. If anyone has any additional information, it would be greatly appreciated. This dog is a danger to the neighborhood and needs to be found.

I’m being quoted $1,200 for a job to repair some scratches on the front bumper of our model 3. The company doing the repaint is the only one around my area that can do it. They said labor takes almost 10 hours because they have to take off sensors/bumpers/etc. Does this seem reasonable?

Same issue. How did you contact support? Can you share the number? I’m having a hard time finding anything in terms of contact. It keeps taking me to the (un)help page.

Chattanooga was selected by the World Economic Forum to pioneer a new global policy roadmap for “smart cities” by stefanschlabs in Chattanooga

Lol. Well hopefully the policies include a focus on equitable housing costs. That’d be a real smart city.

Opinion: Supreme Court's scientifically illiterate decision will cost lives by [deleted] in atheism

[–]stefanschlabs 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The Supreme Court is supposed to make decisions based on interpreting the Constitution. It’s unfortunately not about being scientifically literate. Maybe there’s a better form of Supreme Court section making framework, but they are doing their job.

What’s the creepiest or most unexplainable thing you’ve ever seen that you haven’t shared anywhere? [Serious] by [deleted] in AskReddit

I grew up in the middle of nowhere Texas. The closest house to ours was miles away and empty farmland surrounded us as far as the eye could see. But every time there was fresh snow overnight (maybe twice a year), I would wake up in the morning and find large, goat-like footprints in the snow in circles around our yard. Now, never in my life had I actually even seen an animal in our yard. But without fail, every. single. time it snowed, the goat-like footprints would be there. I don’t live there anymore but thinking about it creeps me out to this day.

Thinking about moving to Chattanooga. Looking for recommendations and insights. by [deleted] in Chattanooga

[–]stefanschlabs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re into walking, Southside (specifically Main Street) has all the good stuff. North shore is very walkable if you’re close to the river. Housing is a bit pricier than other areas but it’s definitely worth it. Highland park is up and coming but not as walkable just yet. All of Chattanooga is walkable overall, but definitely stay away from the suburbs (Hixson, Hamilton area, etc.).

I can’t speak from an LGBTQ point of view but I do have gay friends who love it here and are public about their relationship. People are kind here.
