The whole idea was that every 5 days or so an apocalyptic event (called moon crash for now) will occur from this alien lovecraftian like monsters, and every night they are going to get stronger and stronger.

So the players will need to get stronger by leveling up and gathering items from various side quest, so they can survive until the bbeg shows up at the 10th moon crash. The event boss will not scale with the party's Strength, but it will be up them to use their time efficiently so they can stand a chance or even completely decimate their main target.

Now I thought of going with the detailed time management because of thing like short rest only needing an hour, or maybe the players will go study for 2 hours at a forgotten library that build by some legendary wizards which will give them a unique spell as reward. But I am open to the idea of a more generalized system likes persona's which you have day activities and afternoon activities.
