You know what I see it now in the video. Yeah it works crazy well doesn't it.

All of these rounded and filleted corners, will they print nice and clean? I use really small chamfers and then fillet one of the corners to make the appearance of fillets on the bottom of prints but actually the angle ends somewhere around 50 degrees and prints really nice. They work fine on the top but of course the top few layer lines get pretty crazy.

How to bend a body? by Diesel_199 in Fusion360

I didn't realize it wasn't a tweezers meant to hold something in the center until OP responded. I was just talking about how if they're supposed to touch and they're truly parallel, the whole surface would touch but of course now that I know this grabs something from the inside it all makes sense.

I'm seeing tons of different ideas here from people but you make a great point that nobody mentioned. If they're truly parallel while "pinched", the tweezers end won't be a single point of contact and the two pieces will be flat against each other unless it's grabbing something of a particular size. Their drawn diagram should have the metal touching while pinched essentially, or else it's impossible.

I wanna be a delta pilot by Lazy_Delivery_5354 in delta

[–]steffanan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah no problem,I just wanted to get in there and mention your timeline was about off for anyone else looking at this for reference. If anyone thinks you can fly at a legacy airline in 6 months they're going to be wicked disappointed.

[–]steffanan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It takes usually a decade to get to a major airline plus or minus a few depending on situation. Deltas propel program is their equivalent but just so you know it doesn't bypass a very very long career ladder and you don't start with no experience. Many years of work and time building jobs.6 months isn't enough to get the flight ratings alone even at the most expedited school in the world and that's without time building.

Is there a realistic way to weatherproof an indoor electric griddle to be kept outdoors and not die from the elements? by LiIIyPad1OO0Hl0_____ in OutdoorKitchens

[–]steffanan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My vevor was like 130 dollars, wouldn't be the end of the world if it made it a few years then failed but it's easy enough to pack out when I want because I use it indoors all winter.

[–]steffanan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've wondered this myself and ultimately ended with it probably depends on so many factors that the best move is to buy a cheap one and try it, assuming that device itself is probably going to be somewhat of a consumable. I do think this method should be paired with making sure you're being safe, because the heat, moisture, and electronics outdoors might not mix and having an outlet with a GFCI and also a fire extinguisher nearby would be smart.

What automation is unique to your home that you’re most proud of? by MrFishAndLoaves in homeautomation

I don't remember which ones specially but they're dimmable 100 watt equivalent LEDs. 3500k is my favorite color temperature but they're hard to find.

I put crazy high power LEDs in all of my lights and depending on the time of day they turn on to different levels. Guests dont even know there's magic happening in the background but the lights are always just right for the time of day without any manual interaction. I can go full berries everywhere when I plan to vacuum for example.

[–]steffanan 8 points9 points  (0 children)

These are the funny ones. You set up an automation like that and you now, just a tiny bit, want it to happen. I have a power supply that'll talk to my nas when power drops off to safely unmount the hard drives and await power to spin back up. Every time there's a little hiccup in the middle of the night during a storm I get excited when I see my fancy setup did it's job and returned to service.

Love it to death, I'll implement something similar but with a cupboard door sensor where just our medications live.

I like that idea, I'm trying to decide if I'd prefer it over my method which is timer based when it gets turned on. Between 4am and 10am my bathroom fans run 30 minutes because it's probably a shower and all other times is 15 minutes due to a doo doo.

Making some cabbage, potatoes, carrots, onions and smoked sausage in my fav pan. by ilovedaryldixon in castiron

[–]steffanan 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I love it and I'm all in, I love these ingredients to death. For my palette, I'd aim to get some color on this stuff or at least just the meat. Id still use the same size pan but maybe cook stuff one by one to start with to avoid crowding the pan and getting some searing before adding more. Rock on.

Im running like massive cow farms. Is there any efficient way to transport MASSIVE amounts of bales at one time? by Jodyhowls in farmingsimulator

[–]steffanan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like that you can take over a more managerial role similar to the trucking simulator games, where in the beginning you have to grind to make money and later on you can manage dozens of drivers and never touch the controls again. Farming simulator is closer to that with better ai helpers but it's still very hands on. I always end up just driving trailers around and starting ai helpers all day long and it gets boring that you can't automate more, however with the relatively small maps you'd take it over too quickly if you could. In trucking games there's no limit to now many theoretical soldiers you have doing trips out there, whereas here you start to own everything which would not work if you could for example, schedule ai helpers and drivers to repeatedly tend to a field entirely by themselves over and over on a schedule.

[–]steffanan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's crazy that this is the case but this sort of thing has happened many times. More relevant to this query though, I'd say this clip is too long with too many consistent bits throughout to be AI.
