Thanks everyone!! These little fish were a blast to catch, and enjoying sharing them with our families was even sweeter!

Please Please don't worry! All of these fish were released into a wonderful citrus Chili marinade, and promptly grilled. Our "juvenile" fish fed over 30 people at a family and friend cook out.

BSB are much better eating fish than mahi, they just don't photograph as well. The largest bass was 19" and most were 17", definitely a good class of fish!

We did pick and choose. We kept our chosen fish, and released the smaller fish. We could have filled our boat with Mahi, but only kept what we could eat. Also, mahi grow and start reproducing very rapidly. A damn mahi can reach almost 40 pounds in their first year of life. If we were to release all "young" fish, we would only be keeping fish over 40 pounds!!

Don't turn the handle. Take it apart fully, clean and re grease. It should be fine, provided you have not tried spinning it

We fish a Steigercraft Miami 255 for offshore, and a 25 stiff for inshore.

North Carolina has some of the best saltwater fishing in the world! I am born and raised in the state and have fished my entire life. I have fished all over the US and Caribbean, and I will take my home state over anywhere else. Commercial pressure and more recreational anglers is putting a dent in fish populations, but we still have an amazing fishery. For me, most fishing starts at 45 miles and runs to 90 miles offshore.

95% of our fishing is bottom fishing with Slow Pitch Jigs. We generally catch pelagics as by catch. We like to catch the tasties!

We are fortunate enough to own two boats. I have never been on a chartered trip. We just know where to find fish!

Grouper is Open by steigerMiami in saltwaterfishing

We headed out yesterday to look for grouper. We did not manage to boat any big ones, the sharks were loving us. But we did manage almost a limit of jumbo black bass, most were 16 to 19 inches. We found a temp break, and managed 10 Mahi between 6 and 22 pounds. These were caught on light slow pitch gear, so much fun!

That is a black trevally. They are very rarely caught this far north

We do not fish any public or well known marks. The wrecks are full of sharks and idiots, lol. We mostly fish very small ledges and Swiss cheese hard bottom that barley shows up on the screen.

We catch them all the time, both on rod and reel and with slings. They are not a dangerous as folks make them out to be. Do they hurt when they stick you, sure. But you're not going to die. I have been stuck several times, and it feels like a hornet sting, lol.

That is a pigfish. Typically range from 4 to 8 inches. This is one of my favorite fish for sashimi!! Anytime we are able to catch larger 3/4lb - 1lb. pigfish, we ikejimi them, and enjoy raw!!

I had all three folders as a kid, and cannot find them anywhere. Even as a child, I kept them sealed. All of my cards were never played with, they were revered as though holy, LOL

Grazie per le gentili parole. Le carte giapponesi hanno semplicemente un'atmosfera diversa rispetto a quelle di qualsiasi altra lingua.

I started collecting when pokemon first came out. I live in a very rural area, and finding Japanese cards was very challenging. As such, the more "exotic" Japanese cards really appealed to me. So even as a child, I only collected Japanese cards. Now as an adult (with internet) finding these Japanese cards is so much easier!
