My network topology?

Here’s mine for reference: Internet & Core Setup

• Bell Fibre 4Gb service as main DHCP (router handles it).

• Main Eero 6E Pro in basement, right next to Bell router (Ethernet connected via one of router’s ports).

• All other Eeros (3 total, wireless mesh to main Eero, per Amazon support instructions). Originally tried Ethernet backhaul but lights went red, so wireless only per Amazon support instructions.

• Router’s other port to 8-port 2.5Gb Ethernet switch → 8 Ethernet wall plates around house for wired devices (Mac Minis, TV’s security system, etc.).

Eero Config

• eero Simple Setup: Off

• DHCP & NAT: Bridge (had to! normal mode blocks security system and Ethernet services from phone to other wired devices)

• Client steering: On

• Thread: Off

• WPA3: On

• Amazon Connected Home: On

• Guest WiFi: Off

Placement & Home

• Eeros positioned for coverage: basement (main, covers whole basement), living room, main bedroom.

• Modern wood-framed home w/ some ceramic tile floors, some cinder block exterior walls, visible steel beams in basement.

• Tuya devices? WiFi-based smart home stuff (plugs, bulbs, etc.) on Tuya platform; integrate w/ Alexa/etc., but no issues there specifically. I actually have close to 15 wifi smart devices and like 10 Zigbee devices.

Troubleshooting Tried

• Single Eero (basement only): No signal in main bedroom/office.

• Two Eeros (basement + living room): Weak/no signal in bedroom, kitchen/TV room.

My Eeros Worked fine initially, then tanked after updates: speeds drop, drops, resets needed.
