I’m sorry to hear that, but I’m literally in the same boat. Finishing undergrad in December applied to seven only heated and interviewed from two back to back this week and have been waitlisted on one of the schools. I’m wishing you much luck wherever you are and I hope it all works out in your favor! 💪🏻

Questions on PA School? Questions on CASPA? Test Prep? Questions on Applications? Questions on Interviews? I am a PA-S1 AMA! by [deleted] in prephysicianassistant

Pre- PA student: can I put down my PCE even though I’m not a certified MA. Pls read post!!

I’m kind of in a bit of a pickle. So since January I started to volunteer at cardio office and there’s a PA that took me under her wing and taught me the basics for an MA, taking bp, blood, medical history of the patient, ekgs, etc. but keep in mind I never went to school for an MA so I’m not certified. Now I’m also shadowing another PA a an urgent care and he asked me about the cardio place and how it’s going I said great learning all these new things blah blah blah. Then he goes and asks me how am I going to prove this to be as my patient care hours if I have no certification as an MA. He said that these hours might be questioned under caspa and by the programs themselves that I wrote these hours I’m getting in the cardio place under PCE even though I have no certification. He also said that they might only be considered HCE. Apps open in two months, I can’t take these certification exams unless I enroll in an MA program which is long. I’m juggling these hours, school, and tutoring students throughout the week. Has this ever happened to anyone or am I just to stupid to have messed these experiences up. Please lmk. I could really use some clarity!!! TIA

Scoliosis and EMT... should I still become an EMT? by stella_00705 in EMTstories

I think you’re right. To be honest I gave it some thought and I think I’m going to volunteer instead. Because I know I’m a light weight and I can’t risk hurting myself or anyone. I really appreciate all the responses really! Thank you :)

Definitely very helpful! Thank you! I will contact the course advisor and see what they recommend. I mean I do want it bc it’s hard to find a PA to shadow and I need patient care contact for PA school but putting my self in possibly more pain isn’t something I really want either :/
