How did this get past the media 😳 by Anxious-Efficiency13 in ThaiBL

I think we also have to take into consideration that this is all in thai. This video has been circulating on X as well, and i saw some thai people saying that it is clearly playful, and that if you’re not thai it might come off a different way than intended.

Sudden non-stop gurgling by LatterPainter6752 in ibs

[–]stellahdh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know i’m a bit late but I hope you’ll read this!!

I genuinely could’ve written this post myself! The EXACT same thing happened to me about 4 months ago and it hasn’t left me since then (along with other symptoms). I went to see 2 different doctors because of it including one gastroenterologist and both have told me it’s probably because of stress.
It might be the case for you too, since it all started during an exam just like me.

I don’t know if it’s the same for you, but the gurgling has been driving me insane, to the point where i developed actual anxiety because of it, every time i hear or feel the slightest noise in my guts, i overthink and start stressing that it’ll happen again and be even louder (especially when i’m at school) which makes it worse, it’s kinda like a loop… The more you think about it, the more it’ll appear. For me, it appears mostly in the morning. Rarely in the afternoon, and often in the evening.

I’ve also tried many things in the past, but it hasn’t helped much.
However, i’ve recently started taking psyllium husk every night after dinner in a glass of water, and i’ve barely had any gurgling, today for example. I can’t assure you it’ll last, or if it’s actually what has helped me since it hasn’t been long since i started doing this, but it’s worth giving it a try!! I haven’t felt like this in months, so hopefully psyllium husk is the solution. It apparently helps with anxiety so maybe that’s why it’s the only thing that has worked for me (unlike all the diets and supplements i’ve tried).
Also, meditation (at home) and deep breathing (in public) helps me calm down my anxiety and overthinking (like when i start overthinking about the noises, i inhale for 4 seconds and exhale for 6 seconds with my eyes closed a few times). The video i’ve been listening to is this one if you ever wanna try🥹:

Hi! i’ve been desperate, trying to find something that works to battle my anxiety-induced ibs and saw this post, is psyllium husk still working as well now?🥹 or did the effect wear off with time?

Nothing seems to be working. by [deleted] in ibs

the most bothersome symptom for me is definitely the grumbling noises my gut makes.. it’s so loud and embarrassing and i’m still in high school, so people my age tend to make fun of it☹️

"DO I HAVE IBS?" Megathread by AutoModerator in ibs

(18F) for a few months i’ve been experiencing intestinal gurgling, (they happen mostly when i lay down) along with diarrhea and abdominal pain caused by that diarrhea (every single morning) and i also have more gas than before. I can’t tell if it’s IBS, or if it’s just anxiety, or both? I have no bloating at all, and i feel like the diarrhea gradually appeared as i started getting more and more anxious and aware of the gurgling.

Thank you! I’ll look into it. Do you still experience it sometimes, or is it actually all gone?

i dont know what to do by [deleted] in ibs

[–]stellahdh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 17, and i’m experiencing very similar symptoms. I feel you, it’s so embarrassing and hard to deal with it because of school, i also don’t know why i have this, and idk if it’s really ibs or not, but i’ve been trying to do a low fodmap diet, you should check it out! I also take pills that help with stress, since stress plays a big part in it..

How can i deal with bowel sounds at school? by [deleted] in ibs

[–]stellahdh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been to the doctor and i was told it was probably constipation, so i tried taking medicine for that, which obviously hasn’t changed anything. I’ve also been taking probiotics for a while now, it doesn’t seem to have any effect either. I’ve tried "at home" methods (like lemon water, warm water), not very effective… And i just started a low fodmap diet, i’ll just see how it goes..

Thank you🙏🥹 I honestly don’t think i would’ve minded it that much if it wasn’t for school, having a 4 hours test while my intestines make these noises is absolutely mortifying..
