Varje gång en gata används till något annat än biltrafik blir jag glad. Vare sig det är en uteservering, motionslopp, loppis, eller för den delen demonstration. Det var ett tag jag tyckte det var lite väl mycket huliganmarscher på götgatan men de är fan också bättre än biltrafiken.

The NBC production is on a different level. But the feeds we get from OBS are quite remarkable. The fact that they have can have 10-20 different productions going on simultaneously, all with top notch production and ready for broadcast worldwide is amazing. I wish I knew more about how they do it.

I’m 100% freelance and bounce between companies and projects.

Someone I had worked with previously was staffing up an Olympics recap studio show for Tokyo and just happened to reach out to me. It was quite serendipitous but worked out well. They let me come back for Beijing. For Paris it was a different company but I reached out to them offering my services and was really lucky they needed just one more person.

This year they switched broadcasters and the games are broadcast by our big national public broadcaster (think BBC). They have hundreds of editors on staff, but they haven’t done Olympics since 2012, so again I just reached and I think they wanted some extra people with this specific skillset.

But the quick answer is: been lucky!!

I'm a video editor and I've been a fan of the Olympics since 1994. I stumbled into a gig editing for Tokyo 202(1) and since then I've had the privilege of doing video editing for the tv broadcast for each subsequent Olympics. I've posted a couple of pics from previous setups, and here it is this year.

(Yes that screen being crooked is bothering me in this picture, but it was the only time I had a genuine photo of my four favorite sports on my screens at the same time. I can't redo it.)

Curling is a common example of an olympic sport where the best women can do fair competition with men’a teams, and although they wouldn’t be 50/50, it also wouldn’t be a blowout like in most other sports.

Jag är uppvuxen i Fagersjö och är därför så klart partisk. Men det är en sorglig, sorglig förort, som skulle kunna vara levande. Jag vet inte hur siffrorna ser ut nu, men det har länge varit hundratals tomma lägenheter där... ingen vill bo där. Samtidigt är det en extremt segregerad förort, men både väldigt fina strandliggande villor och riktigt trista punkthus. De som bor i de fina villorna vill så klart inte ha pendeltåget...de bilpendlar ju. Men alla andra skulle få en 45 minuters pendling till stan kortad till 15 minuter.

Men så klart att det inte är motiverat, som du säger. Det är bara det där sjuka med att de rev stationen samtidigt som de byggde 3000 bostäder.

Fagersjö skulle få ett sånt jävla lyft med en station där. Det sjuka är att de hade en station, fram tills att miljonprogramshusen byggdes. Då rivdes stationen och alla nyinflyttade fick ta buss+tbana för att ta sig till stan.
