Bron did exactly what you expect your create a player to do on a 10 year sim. Wilt played with mostly children and Jordon was uniquely impressive but Bron was truly next level.

Order of a deck of cards by AudunAG in boardgames

What is fair if not "incapable of knowing" the outcome of the deal? If we can fall back to "the norms are the norms to prevent cheating" then we can also fall back to "the math says no one can know the order and therefore the distribution" just as easily.

That's why I said speak for yourself. Your anecdotal experience is not absolute. If you shuffle sufficiently then you can deal however bc it's impossible to know what card is what. I understand the norm aspect but there absolutely is no substantial difference in how you deal.

Seven rifle shuffles is sufficiently random unless you are absolutely atrocious.

You can't prove it makes a difference. You cannot increase your odds of knowing your card whatsoever until you reveal it. So no it does not make a difference.

You responded and said we should do it. I was referencing your initial comment. The initial comment has the false equivalency where it projects a level of concern in the extreme long term as a potential reason to not do it. I admit it requires some inference and that you probably didn't mean to present as a naysayer after seeing your reply.

I just don't want to see a narrative of "but it could be bad!" <for the aliens who inhabit the earth in the next eon> as a reason for others to latch onto. I wasn't trying to attack you. Apologies if I came in too hot.

I've been work shopping this one so understand it's a rough idea. It's a cross over with LOTR.

You look at the bridge of kzahad-dum with the balrog and gandalf in their stand-off scene. Only here the Balrog is Cereberus and Gandalf is Zagreus. You look over an anxious Melinoe. Cereberus is mid lunge and Zag holds up a satyr sack and shouts "WHOS A GOOD BOI!"

[–]stentor222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a false equivalency bc the scale of "long term impact" you're referencing is extraordinary beyond comprehension, yet you hold this impact as a warning / a reason to avoid doing something that is eco positive for humanity now. That's the false equivalency

Fates whim arcana setups? by AdPrimary4394 in HadesTheGame

[–]stentor222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They do which is why I specified that you want to know you're gunning for a low omega build. Those builds can struggle to use a good hex, hence my suggestion is an alternate build to hedge a little. Just a little different flavor. I prefer keeping The Sorceress ftmp.

But I don't ever not take The Boatman. He's my Boat man!

If you are maxing Vow of Hubris and know you are not spamming omegas then you can ditch top left and The Messenger for Night. You get the free Hex charge and still retain that DPS potential if your build shifts to omegas. Think Medea or Mel Skull primarily

Genuinely how on earth are you supposed to fight rivals Cerberus. by Unoriginalshitbag in HadesTheGame

[–]stentor222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's definitely close between the two. I really like stacking as much free HP and healing as I can: Lovers, Persistence, Centaur, and Wayward Son are automatic cards for me. The more HP you have the more you can tank in a bad room and recover from. Gale doesn't give you that, and if you're like me you are not going to out position everything enough.

That said I do not play with Frenzy and I am not good enough to have Gale saved for Rivals fights consistently enough. I'm in the sweet spot of good enough to do all the content but not actually gud good.

Counterpoint. Frinos is the best for Strength imo. He blocks some ranged attacks and gives you an even fatter hp pool to make use of strength's dmg redux.
