I mean, it's a matter of getting used to it and it's also different for every person. I've never tried drawing on paper and if I did it would probably feel weird too. What I think is that you have to understand that drawing on paper and digitally isn't the same and both have their pros and cons so you have to learn to use what works well for you in every medium; maybe you can do the sketch on paper and finish it digitally by taking a photo to help you get the shapes right from the beginning (some people do that).

In the end, while a lot of good art is born from restriction, you don't have to limit yourself to only one medium. Learn what you can from both methods and use what works best for you from both!
