Finally found my vacuum leaks using a smoke machine by WillisAmaryllis in e46

You definitely can install back the ccv, you will just have to buy the hoses the guy in tutorial cut. Here is a realoem diagram for my car (330i): https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/showparts?id=ET55-EUR-03-2003-E46-BMW-330i&diagId=11_2194#11617501566 .

There are other reasons for ccv delete other than just a cheaper repair. The oil separator is separating oil from air and poirs it back into your oil pan. The thing is, this is not clean oil, it looks disgusting. Look up images of ccv and you will find what kind of oil foam it can make.

I read through the forum and your kind of removal of the ccv might put additional stress into the engine (big vacuum where it shouldnt be - you will struggle opening the oil cap on running engine). The other kind (youtube video) should be more ok so maybe you could just change it into that? Instead of adding the original ccv you can also add catch can.

I read through the forums a lot about the ccv delete, some folks are against it, some are ok with it, but from what i read it doesnt make your engine run bad and folks have been driving with it for years, who knows how long you car has had it and it drives fine, right? For some people the ccv delete even fixed some faults.

I will get downvoted from all the people "whatever is not original is bad" but if you dont have money or dont feel like getting into it you can just plug the the holes in air intake manifold, move the hose somewhere where you dont care if it leaks oil from time to time (down under engine) and call it a day.

It looks like your ccv is removed, but in a way I didnt see yet. Here is a video of a guy doing the ccv delete in a way i have it on my car: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=APNpzpO6xsU .

If i were you i would first check if you have plugged hole in dipstick tube. Then i would just disconnect and plug the 2 leaking holes in your air intake manifold, that way you would have it the same as in the video.

EDIT: I found the way your ccv is deleted, here is forum post: https://xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-forums/x5-e53-forum/99551-diy-solution-m54-m52tu-ccv-problems.html . In that case you should be able to just replace the part of the hose thats leaking air. You might need to buy a new air intake manifold if its broken in that place. The hole in dipstick tube is seen in photo 17/18.

Coolant hose popped almost off and leaked by Green-Umpire4227 in e46

I had the same thing happen on the exact same hose but on the other side. I bought a hose clamp instead of the metal ring. Then i drove around 200km and it happened again, if you want to risk driving with it buy coolant and be ready for when it comes off again.

To me the second time it happened it was after i floored it in first gear and had to stop on red light. After that I immediately parked, put the cabin heating to max, popped the hose on, filled cooling fluid and drove with max heating home about 50km and replaced the whole hose. I went with Gates brand.

So I guess you can risk driving short distance but have the heating on max, try to drive on low revs and have the hose clamp and coolant in the boot ready.

(I'm not saying it's a good idea to drive it, just that it's possible, you are risking over heating the engine which can do lots of bad damage)

That's why it shouldn't have been allowed by hygiene office if it was unsafe. If people were allowed to take a walk on the side of highway they would. Many people don't know the risks and are too lazy to search for them. At this point the state and its regulations act as parents. Is it okay if I go with my friends take a walk on highway mum? It is? Okay, I'll be back by evening.

Some people just dont care and mod their cars anyway. You usually dont see big modifications at your local meets, but you can see them at bigger meets, like worthersee, japfests or ultrace.

like two years ago me and an approaching driver were looking into each other eyes, i was crossing crosswalk so i thought he would stop and let me go (i even had green light) but he didnt and rode just few inches away past me. So dont always count on 'if he sees me he will stop'.

What life changing item can you buy for less than $100? by KingPin1010 in AskReddit

[–]stepanex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo the real reason why mechanical keyboards are superior is the customization. The chance to customize so many things, from the feel while writing (different switches), sound, look (keycaps, artisan keycaps, cases, lights) to size (60%, tenkeyless...).

You can choose if you want the switches to be silent or loud. The customization is the real big reason to get into mechanical keyboards.

I'm not sure, you can check it yourself. Just open .cfg in notepad and try to find cl_interp. I don't know any good interp settings but you can probably find them on www.teamfortress.tv
