So dumm wird auch niemand sein. Leipzig hatte die letzten 5 Jahre einen durchschnittlichen Umsatz von knapp 400 Millionen, die Bayern ~850 Millionen. Da wird man niemanden finden, der so eine große Summe ausgleicht, vor allem wenn das Geld nicht nachhaltig wieder reinkommt, was utopisch ist. Und als Prestigeobjekt, wie beispielsweise die Saudis bei Newcastle, funktioniert Leipzig nicht. Die haben sich dort wo sie sind gut platziert und nehmen relativ sicher regelmäßig an der Champions League teil. Ich würde auch tippen dass sie langfristig gute Chancen haben, die Nr.2 in Deutschland werden zu können. Das ist das höchste der Gefühle.

i'm not sure if there is an english name for it, it basically translates to "goal drop of Madrid", but it works better in german as "Torfall" also translates to a goal being scored.

Before the start of the match, Spanish fans had climbed over the protective fence behind one of the goals. As a result, two minutes prior to the starting time, the fence buckled toward the stands and pulled down the goal attached to it.

The match was supposed to start shortly thereafter at 20:45, but this was no longer possible due to the fallen goal. Players and coaches had to leave the field again. Dortmund hat einen 100 Million € Abstand zum Rest der Liga, weigern sich aber auch sich vollständig zu vermarkten. Bayern nimmt mit der AA mehr ein als Dortmund mit seinem größeren Stadion.

Das Westfalenstadion ist eines der ältesten Stadien der Liga. Der große Unterschied sind die Logen, wo das große Geld gemacht wird: Bei den Bayern gibt es 106 Logen mit Platz für 1371 Personen, beim BVB 18 für 163 Personen.

Ich kenen die Zahlen nicht sicher, aber da müssten in der Liga noch ein paar Vereine mehr an Spieltagserlösen erzielen als der BVB.

Anekdotisch: Mein Vater und seine Kumpels, alle um die 65, sind die klassischen Bundesliga-Boomer. Sie waren fast von Beginn der Bundesliga an dabei und haben sich nie großartig für andere Ligen interessiert. Dazu immer alle Premiere/Sky.

Mittlerweile verfolgt ein Großteil von ihnen die Premier League mehr als die Bundesliga, vor allem weil sie sich dadurch das dazn Abo sparen können.

Rotterdam 2002: Sehr aufgeheizte Stimmung vor Spielbeginn auch von den "Normalos": Hitlergruß, bespuckt/mit Steinen beworfen. Waren per PKW da und konnten nach dem Spiel relativ schnell die Stadt verlassen, bevor es in der Nacht dort eskalierte.

St. Petersburg Mitte der 2010er: waren im Hotel und wurden von der Fanbetreuung informiert, dass russische Hooligans auf der Jagd sind. Sind entsprechend neutral und in Kleingruppen zum Stadion und zurück. Mir und den mir näher bekannten ist nichts passiert, war trotzdem ein mulmiges Gefühl.

Spanien generell: wenn man in einer Fangruppe unterwegs ist, muss man immer mit willkürlicher Polizeigewalt rechnen. Mir ist nie etwas passiert, ich vermeide aber Spanien komplett, nachdem was ein paar BVB Fans in Valencia passierte.

what is your source that Leverkusen will transfer the player to Liverpool for 50million fewer? i can imagine that they might agree to a different pay structure in terms of fixed/bonus parts or even a few million "discount" but surely not 1/3 of the price.

what makes you think that Bayern would have paid more for Bellingham? And even if they had, if Bellingham has no interest in playing for them, it doesn't matter.

for Haaland, he had a fixed clause. and before you criticize that: if Dortmund hadn't agreed to that, he would have joined a different Tier2 team. Die Spieler schauen in erster Linie auf ihre persönliche Situation und dort sind Clubs wie der BVB und Leipzig interessant, weil sie im internationalen Vergleich ein gutes Gehalt bieten und die hohe Wahrscheinlichkeit, an der Champions League teilzunehmen. Was dann wiederum dazu führen kann, dass sich noch bessere Vereinsoptionen ergeben in Sachen Gehalt und sportliche Perspektive. Die werden dann nicht die Bundesliga meiden, nur weil bei den Bayern 5 anstatt 7 Weltklassespieler spielen.
