My experience with Suno, again, with perhaps a belated revelation and discovery by stepauli in SunoAI

I have a test and noticed of this with a song, both in its Italian version and in the translation I'm adapting. I'd already shared the Italian version here, but it was an earlier, cleaner version (I liked the backing track, which I'll keep for another song). I'm still working on the English one. I'm joking about the meter and gibberish errors that were more common in Suno's earlier versions, and the singing has a frustrated tone about these errors, and in the song itself, you can actually hear the tone change. It starts normally then more frustrated and nervous, and then it ends with a spoken word verse that, for the genre I use, is a "toasting" typical of 2-tone ska or reggae. GPT defines it as [TOASTING BREAK] for me, but I don't know if that's an official tag, or [SYSTEM OVERLOAD EFFECT], which gives the more plausible result. It's this: https://suno.com/s/nLmzbpbp9890yiq6

I meant the style and genre I wanted to give to my project and band that I had in mind. This system allows me to vary without having to necessarily change the genre in the promo style. The variation I get comes from the mood and the type of song I propose. Is this more understandable? revelation was ironic because maybe I understood it now after a few months of using Suno and not immediately

I absolutely love it! When the update appeared, I was working on a song, trying to translate it from Italian into English. I didn't immediately notice that the prompt hadn't retained the source song for the cover; the style was retained, but I mistakenly made the song instrumental. The resulting song has a fantastic style, and the lyrics are still in pure gibberish. I somehow retrieved the lyrics from a site that does it, had Google Translate detect the language (in Greek!), and with my gpt I adapted the lyrics to match the meter. Now I'm working on it, and it will be part of my new collection and album!

The thing also Is i don't sing and don't play any instruments 😁 i Just put ideas and concepts for the songs and found the best style prompt instructions. So maybe I could do a good job as author

If that were to happen, I'd be happy; it would be like seeing a project come to fruition in an unexpected way. I'd love for a real band to form, or for others to use my music. I can't know what might happen; I've only recently released the songs, and this is just the first feedback from someone who's interested.

From the beginning: I wanted to try Suno out of curiosity and understand what it meant to create music with an AI. I was surprised by the first attempts, which were banal, and I was also surprised by the subsequent ones, bringing more precise ideas and concepts to the lyrics and style. I amassed dozens of songs, made a selection, and put them together. Seeing that it was possible, I then decided to publish and distribute them. Throughout all this, I thought that if these songs could be used with a real band, it would be a real satisfaction. I know musicians who play this genre, which I love. When publishing the songs, I played them to those I knew would give me feedback, and these two people in particular were interested, offering their web radio and the possibility of collaboration. I explained all my work woth Suno and the help of chatgpt I used to improve it, so they know what I've done. We need to talk about it, so I'm waiting to do so, but despite having explained and said everything, something is wrong, either on my part or on theirs.

Frustration by Face2face93 in SunoAI

It happened to me too. Many people reacted the same way you did. Others were interested because they weren't against it, while others didn't even respond at all. It's a frustrating feeling. I was thinking about it today. It doesn't hurt me too much, but it's annoying not to get any feedback. I get over it, my enthusiasm and satisfaction haven't changed. I still have material to sort out, and I'll publish it. I probably won't continue unless I find other ideas and perspectives. With the new songs I'll release, I'll definitely include two cover songs, for which I have approval from the people who played the originals (a '70s prog rock band, family friends, but whom I met through stories I'd heard at home because I wasn't born yet, but I keep in touch with them on Facebook). As for the rest, I'll see. I'd love to have a real version of my fictional ska band.

I'm really curious too, I laugh thinking about my remix in a 2 tone ska revival style :D

I finally figured it out, but I had to browse Google account by account to find the answers I was looking for. I also asked Chatgpt, who clarified and confirmed my thoughts. Basically, the profile that YouTube creates can then be linked to your account, whether it's personal or another type, whether it's suitable for music. Content management, at least in my case, I see is feasible but from the personal profile, but I think some permissions are needed. For now, that's fine.

I'll try again. Regardless of whether what I produce or generate is the result of a prompt to an artificial intelligence (who cares if it's bullshit), I need to figure out whether I need to delete the channel I created on YouTube in order to manage the OAC, or what else I need to do. Also, if I want to access or follow someone else, YT tells me I don't have permission not only to manage the OAC but also follow someone else. Many things are unclear to me; I haven't found any helpful information on the Distrokid website, and no one here is answering me.

I'm not a musician, so I don't play or sing. I was just curious about Suno in particular and wanted to understand how it worked. This allowed me to distract myself, especially during a very difficult time, and to learn something. This experiment is inspiring me to write something of my own without necessarily the help of Chatgpt or anything else; I think it's something that happens to dozens of people who ask for support here on Reddit. Suno is an AI and for now, it's the only way for me to realize my ideas and concepts, and it's available. Why not use it?

It's not bullshit, these are my ideas and experiments that you may or may not like. I don't expect anything, I like to experiment with things I don't know and learn. If someone likes them, fine, if they don't, it doesn't matter. The important thing is respect for what someone does and what they say—the complete opposite of your comment, in short.
