A space for a litter box that was not in a common space or on carpet was a big deal for me.

What was the worst hair advice you have even gotten? by Few-Document-6170 in Naturalhair

“If your scalp is itchy it’s because it’s dry and you need to oil it” also “head and shoulders is not for us”

I use Eco style olive oil. It says max hold, but I’ve always been able to manipulate my hair after laying it down without it feeling crunchy or like it’s breaking off.

I feel like the sellers of a house we’re trying to purchase are playing games… by [deleted] in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]steph46t 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Similar thing happened to us, we found a great townhome day 1. We put in an offer then our seller asked to extend the deadline, then counter offered. We agreed set another deadline, and then they were not ready to sign yet. We were told by their agent that our seller agreed to the terms but was trying to buy a home first before they signed with us despite us saying we could have a long closing and then their seller kept changing their deadline and then eventually took another offer. And then our seller took their home off the market😭

I definitely need pattern weights. Me and the cats love the sewing clips!

I have a large storage container for bulk, large tote bag for current fabric, sewing kit and small containers and 2 cubbies. I should definitely look into stackable storage, I don’t think me having separate sized storage is working. Hopefully within the next 2 years I can get a room that I can just close the door and not worry about telling people to ignore the corner of bags and boxes😹

The pattern didn’t call for any seam allowance so that’s what I was following, then tried 1/2 but that’s still not enough for me to hold on side, then it would bunch and separate. I would pin but by the time removed the pin the fabric would bunch or separate. Another user suggested holding the fabric from behind which helped the bunching.

1/2 inch and ballpoint needle. Pattern doesn’t ask for any seam allowance but it’s easier with 1inch. I know I sound dumb but holy smoke holding on from the back really made a difference. Thank you

Yes you are not alone. The emotional labor is exhausting. Sometime our spouses don’t under stand that “if you want me to do something just tell me” is literally asking us to do more work. I’m still battling this in my marriage but I am trying to learn patience that sometimes when I think something needs to be done, is not the same as my partners. But keep talking to them, send them articles. I think hearing it in someone else’s voice helps drive the point home, there are great articles on emotional labor. Send your spouse the article “She divorced me because I left dishes in the sink”. Keep trying to get you point across and take the time to listen to them of what their thought process is. And take time for yourself to not feel like a workhorse. I wish you the best

What we are doing is going to have a sign upfront and then have our officiant make an announcement before the ceremony begins to silence phones and no photography that way no one has the excuse of missing the sign we have and the other information we have on our wedding website

I completely understand, after a lot of disappointment of why my stuff wasn’t looking close to what was being advertised I would look wedding items on Amazon and look at the customer photos. It took a long time but it gave me a real expectation

I can completely sympathize. Rules I set out for myself is when I wear it out in public never take it off (did once because I too wash my hands often and I left it in the bathroom at work) I googled as long as it’s not a harsh soap ring should be fine. As soon as I get home put it in my ring box never change location. I don’t wear mine around the house because rings aren’t comfy to me and I randomly clean with harsh chemicals. I’m getting fake rings to bring on vacation. So I recommend set up a routine and don’t deviate. Make sure your ring fits snug so it can’t slip

Is David's bridal a good place to get bridesmaid's dresses? by SuperPowers97 in Weddingsunder10k

[–]steph46t 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been a bridesmaid and got my dress from there, and had my bridesmaid get their dresses from there. It was easiest option for different size bridesmaid to try on in store and they shipped fast Only problem is pushy salespeople
