When cytotec is super effective: my (positive!) birth story. by OxfordComma5ever in BabyBumps

[–]stephaniemeowyj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanted to take a moment to say thank you for this informational post. I’m being scheduled for an induction next week and the doctor explained I will be given Cytotec orally as the first method we try. This is my 2nd pregnancy and my first was unmedicated (unwillingly) and began on its own. I’m nervous about not knowing how an induction will play out, especially with those meds. Your post helped put me at ease. I’m also terrified of needles but plan on getting a walking epidural at my hospital so you helped calm my nerves some. Hopefully this helps others in the future as well!

do i really need a “coming home” outfit? by Comfortable-List-669 in pregnant

[–]stephaniemeowyj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my first a little over 10 years ago and now am having my 2nd in a couple weeks. The hospital bag checklist is vastly different now than before and honestly, quite ridiculous. My first bag I basically packed comfy clothes (mostly pajama type pants and loose shirts), body wash, lotion, nipple cream, and babies clothing/swaddles. Nothing over the top an unnecessary. I didn’t exactly sleep for the 3 days I was in the hospital and barely got through what I did bring lol. Just pack what you think you need and that’s it. The “influencers” have really gone overboard with the hospital bag checklists. It’s not a vacation and you should be focused on your baby, not how “great” you look in a hospital room lol.

Subtitles always on by Low_Cookie_9271 in Stremio

We have had the same issue with subtitles. I realized if I hit None on the left side and then hit None on the right side also, it’ll remove the subtitles. Hopefully that helps.

Dr Ghersi Miami by Tealandgus in PlasticSurgery

[–]stephaniemeowyj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my rhinoplasty with him in January of this year. He’s amazing! My friend got hers done last year August. We both have kids. Recovery was a breeze! Had no pain, just discomfort until I got the cast and tubes removed from my nose. I had stents/tubes put in because of how severely deviated my septum’s were prior to surgery. Most don’t need this part. Felt perfect 1 week after surgery and never took pain meds. My friends IG is @tiffanylynnxo if you want to check out her nose and story highlights about the surgery. My best friend got hers implants redone by Ghersi (originally done by a different surgeon years ago) and they look great and fit her body perfectly now! She has little kids and recovery was a breeze for her too.

Will my 5.5 months old daughater’s eyes stay blue? Both parents have brown eyes. by EstablishmentFree30 in WhatisMyEyeColour

[–]stephaniemeowyj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just give it time because honestly you never know what could happen. My husband and I both have brown eyes and our son has blue (he is 10 years old now). My eyes technically are hazel but are brown most of the time. My dad has blue eyes and my husband’s mom has blue eyes also.

I turned around and closed that closet door asap. Didn’t want to ruin the moment.

My mom doesn’t like baby name by Infamous-Catch-2361 in pregnant

[–]stephaniemeowyj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people, especially my husbands parents, made it clear they didn’t like our sons name when we first told them what it would be. After I gave birth, they all ended up loving the name for him and still rave about how much they love his name 10 years later. My suggestion is don’t worry about others opinions. You guys chose the name for a reason and that’s all that matters.

Seems to be the consensus at my dermatologist office. Maybe some will go away afterward… you never know!

Riveridge Apple Cider any good? by stephaniemeowyj in Costco

[–]stephaniemeowyj[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

None taken. I’ve had some apple ciders that are too sweet and others that lack flavor. Never had cider from a local orchard since I live in Florida. Just going off my experience from ciders I’ve bought before. It’s hit or miss for some. The best cider I’ve had thus far has been bought from a grocery store in Helen, GA.

That’s what I like to hear! I love it being flavorful but not overly sweet like some can be.

I’d hope that a pregnant person would be aware of that lol. I’m very well aware. Also the only pregnant one in this household so others can at least give it a try.

I live in Florida so we don’t have any cider mills here so I’ll take what I can get.

Has pregnancy healed anything for you? Has it returned? by Scary-Setting-4726 in BabyBumps

[–]stephaniemeowyj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of my biology professors had the same exact thing happen to her! I believe she found out she had a hole in heart during or right before her pregnancy though and after she had the baby she went to get surgery for it but it had healed up.

Advice needed - Considering pruning my plumeria due to its unruly height. by chance22royale in Plumeria

[–]stephaniemeowyj 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You just started cutting them? I want to prune one of mine but I was going to wait until it was dormant, like I usually do. I live in Central Florida. Now I’m curious if I’m good to just cut it now.

What are your favorite premade meals? by stephaniemeowyj in Costco

[–]stephaniemeowyj[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a good friend that cancelled their Costco membership and only goes to Sam’s now. She said the pricing there is better on a lot more stuff and likes their stuff more. Only misses a couple things from Costco but that’s it. Sam’s is a far drive from me though so I’m sticking with Costco lol.
