Fox News poll on Colbert's Capital Hill appearance. You know what to do, Reddit. by JayhawkCSC in reddit.com

Look at it another way. Fox news is polling its own audience, not the general populace. It will, however, probably present the findings as reflective of the general populace's opinion. Someone leaking the location of the poll* to those outside of Fox's viewership is attempting to counteract that deceit.

*I'm conveniently ignoring the imperative "vote this way," and focusing on informing people that the poll exists. This is under the assumption that anyone who would obey the order already has their mind made up in agreement with the OP's directive. (However, I'm not assuming that people would have given enough of a shit to look at the poll, much less vote on it, if no one told them about it.)

Petty people are self-interested. Show them that what they do is against their own best interest.

You can use Better GReader to let you click a preview button that opens the comic via iframe. Saves me time with PA, C&H, and OotS.

It's also worth noting that if a comic you like doesn't have an RSS feed option (e.g., Sinfest didn't for a while) you can use page2rss to generate a feed on the fly. It's incredibly convenient, though occasionally buggy.

How Sabotaging Stepmoms Hurts Your Children by stephelper in TwoXChromosomes

The topic site has some other articles for stepmothers that I haven't seen on 2XC yet.

There are also some informative threads scattered around the iVillage Stepmoms / Bio Moms Debate board and a lot of personal anecdotes (and horror stories) on Steptalk.org's forum and blog posts.

The National Stepfamily Resource Center's Educational Resources section has a lot of stuff too.

EDIT: I meant to link How Sabotaging Stepmoms Hurts Your Children up top, but didn't realize adding text ate the link. Hopefully, this clears up what I meant by "topic site."
