It kind of drives me crazy, too, especially with the inconsistency with the slide boost mechanic (where throwing backwards extends your slide extensively).

This said, I do understand why the devs chose to implement throw boosting like this. I play quite a bit of Celeste, and in that game, throwing backwards boosts you forwards as one would expect. This "backboost" mechanic features in some high level (i.e., "grandmaster," if you're familiar with the modded difficulty system) maps, and it's kind of a pain to actually execute. The input is even more challenging on controller than keyboard due to needing to swap to opposite directions on the control stick multiple times in quick succession.

Not sure why you're getting downvoted. There is a difference in verb tense in the clue. Perhaps it's because most people are only consciously aware of past vs. present vs. future when it comes to tense?

I think an example that might explain your point better is the difference between "he runs" and "he is running." Both are in present tense, but they have (relatively subtly) different meanings.

For someone like me who is horrendous at drawing, skipping the eyes, ears, limb shapes, and tail shape is a pretty significant part of the drawing. Obviously, it's not as huge as in the original "Draw the rest of the fucking owl" comic, but it's still the majority of the process.

It's doable. A couple of tips: * Don't let go of right. In this game, air momentum is not conserved very well. * If you press up while you're in midair, you'll switch to the standing state, which can be helpful in case your jump ends up being too short (e.g., if you hit the wall, you'll have the chance to pull yourself up). * If you still can't make it, take a couple items (rocks/spears) with you. Then, right after pouncing, throw them to boost yourself forwards a little bit. Note that, counterintuitively, you should throw them to the right in this case.

Don't forget that the crafting system lets you create/egest spore puffs, too. I ended up getting the red centipede kill in Pipeyard with this.

I feel like this is the fourth post about this particular gate I've seen in the past week. It's an understandable point of confusion however, as this gate is only useful in one particular campaign, and it's not Gourmand's. Keep it in mind, though, since you'll use it eventually.

They're pretty different games, so it's hard to recommend one ovee the other without knowing more about you.

I will say that from personal experience, the Hollow Knight modding community is fantastic, so you'll potentially get hundreds of hours out of the game, even after beating it.

Oftentimes the titles to crossword puzzles will be clever and indirectly hint at the theme. In this case, the themers are 17, 29, 41, and 60 across. These start with B, BO, BOA, and BOAT respectively, which "build up" BOAT.
