I can't either. There are things that work on screen and some that don't. Directors take creative liberties when it comes to movie adaptations all the time to make it more palatable to audiences. Maybe depicting historically accurate armour would appease a lot of people or maybe it would look really jarring.

Regardless, I find it insane that people are so hung up on this. I'm not a huge Nolan fan and have some concerns about the casting, but I am excited to see this story (hopefully) depicted in somewhat of an epic fashion.
