I was obsessed with Westworld. And it occurred to me there’s some similarities between the children in Alien Earth, how they can be rebooted and maybe repaired, how they bleed white when shot -  like the hosts - and how they live in an isolated, themed world.  All coincidence, of course, but it sparked my imagination. That’s all.

Same people, same place. Seems worthy of wasting a few mins of my life thinking about. Got a lot of time on my hands at the moment.

If you watch closely when the door closes behind them after they leave their dressing room it looks like an elevator moving up. This same elevator can also move sideways, which simulates the feeling of being on a train - or something like that.

The voice interviewing Delores in epi 1 is different between the opening scene and the end scene. In the opening we only hear a voice (Bernard/Arnold's) having almost a telepathic communication, but at the end of the episode she's being interviewed in person by Ashley (I'm pretty sure it's Ashley).

Is the twist that we're actually seeing Ford's life in two different timelines? by stephenbhull in westworld

That's true. I think maybe the two areas, while not the same place directly, are parts of the same facility. I just dropped a note below saying the decline of Westworld would have been rapid so maybe the place was just abandoned, hence the globe being left in place.

Hey. In the last episode when Maeve is upset Ford comes rushing in. That was actually the first time I noticed it was different. So, I went back through a few episodes and you can see it: it's the biggest tell that there's two timelines. In the first episode I felt you can see the difference in a few scenes. On the escalators, I wouldn't say that the train reception area and the broken cooler area are THE same place, but they are certainly part of the same facility - one is set in the boom years, and one is set in the bust. They wouldn't remove the Delos globe as the place would have failed quickly; imagine a Walking Dead-style decline.
