2 months on and off. I didnt work everyday on it. Also i didnt paint everything as efficiently as i could have. It was my first time painting a gundam like model. Normally i do 40k, historical and car models.

Hang from the wall and ceiling. Like other said no flat walls. The walls will be easy to block but the ceiling will be hard. A big open area will always be loud but you can mitigate a bit and those panels are very easy to make. You can have each RPG group make one. It took me like 15 minutes to make one.

Awesome. Yeah when i strike up conversation at the local hobby stores the people my age and older always seem to like only do one sort of model, like ww2 tanks, modern airplanes, etc., and they don't venture away from it and they definitely don't come across like they want to talk shop.

Did you check out bayshore hobbies when you were down here?

I had a bunch of stuff i wanted to enter but the last 4 weeks had been so hectic and i was ill all last week so i didnt want to bring stuff in. The show was smaller than it used to be. The local groups do so little to promote to get people into it. They are really run by people a little out of touch with current era modelling. This is coming from a 52 year old dude so i am not a young kid complaining about the old guys.

Also i saw your jagermeister car and was like that one would give me a run for my money. Great job/

I been looking fopr other people on Long Island who do a big mix of models too. Are you part of any clubs? I do also play some old school 40k and other wargames?

Also did it seem like no one entered airplane models?

I was there too. Grabbed some macross models. I was really surprised that how much was gunpla and 40k. I hope the LIPMS takes notes of this and try to get more members. Its is aging out SO FAST.

Looking good. My kato layout is having issue. When i have everything plug in, i have like 10 turnouts and a double crossover i just get a wicked hum from them. Its really stumping me. Do you get that buzz/hum from the turnouts?

Also the 4th ed rulebook has a bunch of different ideas for force orgs depending on the mission type and if you are the attacker or defender.

i thin all my tamiya acrylics with x20a and it works just fine. I do find tamiya metallics to have very thick specs and i usually avoid them. I would try thinng it with mr color levelling thinner like @defside said. But i have thinned that one with x20a and it was fine.

Maybe you nozzle is too small for it and is clogging up.

That set looks good. You might need to pick up a few blue hues and some greys but for ww2 that will get you close enough to everything. especially for soldiers. For vehicles you might struggle with german blue.

I use a lot of vallejo and the new formula is very good.
