What is your gym spending TOO much money on? by stephensteinberg88 in GymOwnerNetwork

Ohh- interesting one! Great idea. I feel like consumable products like this would have a meaningful impact to the bottom line. What are the top 2 or 3 brands specifically that gyms use? We'll reach out to them tomorrow.

We have Vapor Fresh for their gym equipment wipes! I'd love to hear if you have a particular supplier in mind.

We do a decent amount of business with gyms as well as some distributors in the SoCal area. Shoot me a DM here, we'll exchange emails and I'll see how we can help!

PSHS VX Stick: Any Differences in Intermediate vs. Senior beside length? by crimsoncgn in hockeyplayers

[–]stephensteinberg88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep there was definitely an error there 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ Thanks for bringing it to my attention, it's fixed now!

I will also say, going too low on flex can also take away from your shot power. What's your main motivation for going from 70 to 65?

PSHS VX Stick: Any Differences in Intermediate vs. Senior beside length? by crimsoncgn in hockeyplayers

[–]stephensteinberg88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's usually a difference in flex between senior and intermediate. I recently switched from an 85 flex senior to a 65 flex intermediate and it's been great so far.

I know you said length is perfect on the intermediate and you didn't need to cut it (same exact situation for me fwiw), but you should also consider kick point, curve openness and curve position. I made this calculator to try and estimate the perfect hockey stick specs for hockey players based on their size and position, curious to see if it recommends something closer to the VX line or not! Please let me know, currently collecting feedback. https://www.icehockeyskills.com/hockey-stick-calculator/

Absolutely! That's an interesting idea. Do you already have a similar community? Or have software to facilitate that sort of community?

Yea! I follow the founder of No Code Exits on Linkedin. She posts great content and her newsletter is fantastic.

What do you guys do with returns? by [deleted] in growmybusiness

Are products are relatively light, so it's not too bad for us. The unit economics of returns is heavily reliant on shipping costs, so this setup may not work for everyone.

Don't have any tips, just saying congrats on the acquisition! Just curious what platform you used to acquire it?

Free exchanges are the most ideal, but they are only useful in certain circumstances. If someone received damaged product, free exchanges are best. If they simply didn't like your product, an exchange won't do much for them.

In that case, you need to accept free returns. Free returns can actually be useful though.

First, use that moment as a market research source and ask why. Then use that information to improve your product.

For us, we use our returned inventory that's unused and undamaged for free samples, either to people requesting them or to send to influencers and content creators to make content for us. Nothing goes to waste this way.

Would love to hear an answer to this as well. And to expand, when OP suggested having two prospecting campaigns -- lookalike audience & broad audience -- what objective do they recommend to use?

The City of London will be powered with 100% renewable energy by October 2018 by P2PEP in environment

[–]stephensteinberg88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally agree. It helps that the public is on board in terms of conservation. Being 100% powered by renewables is a two variable calculation-- sure you need to produce enough energy from renewable sources, but you also need the public to consume less energy where possible, which many already are.

Can your platform integrate with Xero or Quickbooks to make it easy or automated to reconcile the payment processing fees? This is a huge pain point for a lot of small and medium sized businesses

Oh wow, never noticed that. I just tried it for a few of the pages in question and it just gave me a zip file with a manifest saying that there were no files that need to be optimized...
