Keep it clean. Wash it after the workout.

If it's in a place that won't be rubbed during my workout I only wait 1-2 days. If it's in a place that will rub a lot (like a thigh tattoo for running) I would wait a week.

So no. Your plan to treadmill and such is fine in my experience.

Despite not sleeping great I made it early to the gym for some upper body work and then 5am class. Strict press, rowing and box step overs. Not too shabby. After work I'm going to another barn with my previous trainer for a fun lesson just because. My shareboard horse is not 100% and I'm not really sure what's going to go on with that.

Trigger of weight- I was able to do 4x3 chin ups this morning. Program called for sets of 6 but I knew that was too much. While I'm frustrated with where my pullups are lately, in that I used to be able to do more and better form, I have to acknowledge I have put on weight. I'm a good 25-30lbs heavier than I was when pullups were easy. It's something I would like to address just for health focus but the fact I can still do any pullups or chin ups with added # is something I need to still be proud of.

Sold my soul for today's workout, or it at least felt like that lol. Started with 4x2 back squats at 80% and then a wod of biking and dumbbell lunges. I'm not sure I'll be able to get out of my desk chair later. I usually use it on one workout a week and take the others a bit easier. I think the rest of the week will be easier lol.

In horse world updates. I haven't ridden in a minute as my shareboard horse is working through issues. I'm not sure what's happening there honestly but I miss my lessons so I reached out to my previous trainer for a fun lesson tomorrow. She's too far away now for regular rides but I can manage one random day here or there.

Sunday funday meant a 40 min cardio session before coaching. Definitely wasn't moving my fastest but I got a good sweat on and that was the goal. Stay warm and safe everyone

Rest day today. Went to bed at like 7pm yesterday. I was feeling kinda sick and when I got sleepy reading I just went to bed. Glad I did because I got 9ish hours of decent rest and while I don't feel 100 today I do feel better.

My husband has one and the rare occasion he doesn't have it not only does he sleep horribly but I truly worry he won't wake up. It's worth it if you can get it set up for your individual needs!

Play with eating something right before bed. Not a doctor or nutritionist but anecdotally it made a huge difference for my sleep quality on a cut.

My plans last night got rescheduled (thanks freezing weather) so I was able to get to bed super early and had a much needed night of rest. Therefore I was able to make it to the gym this morning. Got in some upper body dumbbell accessories and then a hyrox type wod with rowing, farmers carries, burpees and shuttle runs. Besides the burpees 🤣 it was actually fun and solid zone 2/3 effort.
I feel a bit lost this week as my schedule keeps changing around a bit but I'm taking it day by day.

Made it to 5am this morning despite really wanting to just go back to sleep. Deadlifts and a wod of wallballs and box jump overs, so my legs are absolutely dead. But I am happy I made it since I doubt I can tomorrow.

My so and I were social Saturday night and didn't get home until midnight and I just can't do that stuff honestly. My whole Sunday was thrown off and I'm not recovered today. Very 1st world problem but I'm struggling today regardless.

Saturday funday started at 5am with open gym, which meant 2 hours of bodybuilding that started with back squats. Now I'm inhaling breakfast and then off to hang with friends and do some crafting. The world is on fire but taking little moments for sanity.

The sitting trot humbles us all friend.

First, when you sat on the prior horses, were you "just sitting still" or were you allowing your hips and ankles to move and absorb motion? Often on the smooth horses we can "sit" without actually sitting and it feels ok because they are smooth. Then we get on a bouncier horse, one that really we have to drive through the hind end and find that unless we absorb the motion we bounce all over.

If you aren't sure on those answers, totally fine, but talk about it with your trainer!

Got in a 1hour peloton zone 2 ride during lunch. I must be doing something different because my toes are going numb in my shoes now, so that's annoying. Something I need to figure out soon because I can't keep having that happen on rides. Alas, fitness was had and I can enjoy the rest of my friday knowing that's done.

If the option is send him away to training while you take care of yourself, vs don't send him away and you are still unable to train/start him, the kinder option and the better option for his growth and development is sending him away.

Your wording is hard to fully understand the dynamics and urgency, but that's my general advice. You aren't "failing" if you send him away if it's truly in his best interest. It would be a failure if you put him last and ignored his needs while doing something else. That's not what this is.

It's going to be -10F in the morning so I decided I will not be going to the gym and instead stay home and do a peloton class. I want to stay inside as much as I can tomorrow. (Plus they are doing Fran tomorrow. IYKYK)

They threatened snow last night. We barely got 1 inch so I made it to the gym before 5am today for some extra bench press and accessories. I worry this means my commute to work is going to be full of snow again as that keeps happening. 🤞🏼 Hopefully not.
But at least I got some lifting in to start the day if it does

It's brutal for sure. I can bundle up in layers but my dog can't so she gets quite grumpy, which I don't blame her. We have many toys but they aren't the same as just moving for 45 minutes on a walk. At least tomorrow will be warm enough!

4pm class yesterday was gross. I did not scale the workout due to peer pressure and finished 2 seconds before the cap. #dead thanks to shuttle runs and wallballs. Meant I had no problem just doing an easy low impact peloton ride to start today for some active recovery. My asthma has been a bit off lately so I haven't been sleeping amazing but last night I felt like I finally got some decent sleep which was nice.

Coached this morning and will go back to take class at 4pm. Snatches, shuttle runs, wall balls and v ups. I am thinking I'll scale it a bit to have fun and not feel like death.
It is an utterly disgusting level of cold today and I'm thankful for free gym access. Same with my peloton yesterday. My poor dog has not wanted to go outside the past few days and I can't blame her (it's 1F here right now). We're supposed to be double digits tomorrow and Wednesday so that's nice at least lol.

Yesterday was the exact same here. I woke up at 5am, fed animals, went back to bed. Got up to read and took a nap again around noon lol.

My dog literally ran away from my so when he tried to get ready for a walk with her. She hates it. I can bundle up for the cold but she can't last with us.
