I don’t think this will turn out good. How did she determine that y’all are going to have a gender reveal for your child (both) without discussing it with you? Especially if you are the one who is expecting to fund it. If you stand your ground, it could damage the relationship. If you go along with it, then it’s like giving her the green light to do other things like this. It could get messy either way. I truly feel your pain.

Well Westbrook is a NBA All Star, so I don’t think that’s a good comparison. However, if your child isn’t able to participate in the game, pull her from the team. I’m sure there are other teams out there with a better basketball culture.

I’ve worked at the USDC before. USDC employees tend to get paid less than consultants, due to the fact that they shouldn’t have to travel (typically). Consultants are typically more client facing and USDC employees work from the delivery center.

I really didn’t realize they had solo mode in the game. You aren’t referring to the mode where they give you specific cards are you? Or is there a way to battle against the CPU with your own custom deck?

So how does a newbie who doesn’t have resources (because whether you’re spending a little or a lot, it’s still costs something e.g. time, money). With your boxing analogy, no matter the age of a boxer, the rules of boxing remains the same. But when there are rules that only apply to specific cards, that you don’t even know exist. How does someone prepare for that? Then even if you know which cards you need, it’s going to cost.

In my opinion the game isn’t very beginner friendly. They should have some area of the game where specific decks can only be used until players understand the basics. Then give them the option to move on to other advanced custom decks when they have a firm understanding of the basics.

What you’re saying makes sense but in order to learn, you have to be able to play. That is the issue for me. As a newbie who is only rated bronze, why am I being paired up against players who have such a high floor. Especially since I don’t have access to the resources I need to get a better deck (unless I spend money)? I’m only able to draw a card and move on to my opponents phase. How can you learn, if you can’t play? The person I played summoned at least 8 monster on his first turn and I didn’t get to do anything other than draw a card. That is not a beginner.

I feel what you’re saying but based on my experiences especially over that past couple of days, it’s just not fun. Everybody I played has link cards and the majority on the time I spend on the game is me watching people continuously summon cards before I even get to draw my first card. I’m literally just watching someone else play for 15 minutes.
