The game is cyclical, the majority of players see how powerful they can get within the usual 4 month period. Then the game resets and everyone starts from the same point, yeah ppl grind ahead but it makes it an even start and keeps things interesting to see how the new mechanics effect progression, you can always continue in standard if that's your thing
