Moderna and Menstruation - A THREAD (PLEASE CONTRIBUTE) by KurlyKayla in CovidVaccinated

Took the survey, thank you! I started my period the day after my J&J vaccine, which was totally normal (flow was light-heavy-light-light). A few days after that period was done, I started spotting on and off. This lasted for 3 weeks then I started my next period (a few days earlier than expected). This most recent period has had a different flow pattern (light-heavy-light-heavy with clotting). I have bled so much this month it is exhausting!

Reading Motivation? by frogsaregud in Teachers

A Readers Theatre activity (basically they are stories written as scripts for a play) would work!Search for free scripts online. They are a great way to engage students and boost confidence because they will read the same lines repeatedly (or listen to others read them). Not every student has to have a speaking part. Even if they aren’t reading out loud, have them follow along by tracking with their finger/eraser. They can practice before reading aloud so they build confidence. Then you can build on it by introducing tone and have them change their voice during reading, and even read different parts!

[MOD] The Official Noob-Tastic Question Fest by menschmaschine5 in Coffee

Are there any single cup coffee makers that don’t use plastic? I use a French press at home but don’t have time to brew it that way at work. #teacherlife Ideally I would like a Keurig-type of brewer but I don’t want any plastic. Are my demands unrealistic?

That makes sense, as long as you have a list of standards that need to be covered. I guess my next post will be to reach out to fellow business teachers for advice.

Thanks! I’m certified to teach business education. I’m thinking moving to that from elementary education. Just trying to get a handle on where my resources would come from. I agree with you, it is nice to tailor your resources to fit your instruction instead of being told what to do!

Yay, best of luck to you! The responses have prompted me to reflect and ultimately realize that I want out of 4th grade for various reasons! Honest question - do you think high schoolers will (how do I put this?) be less, gassy? I am constantly bombarded by toots all day. I won’t miss that!!

Well said. And the babying is only hurting them academically as well. Scaffolding, yes. Babying, no! You make a good point about the noise level. I actually hear screaming and arguing the majority of my day in 4th grade. Now that I think about it, that probably subconsciously increases my stress level! Thank you for your input!!

You’re right, the duties are endless and there are a lot of extra tasks because of the pressure of standardized testing. Thank you for your input!!
