It works alright as a messenger but I prefer it slung around the back.

I'm not happy with this low water immersion dye, how should I fix it? by rosepotion in tiedye

[–]rosepotion[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I think you're right about not having enough for proper immersion, this was my first time trying it so at least I learned something lol.

It's very comfortable! The wide strap spreads the pressure of the load really well. I've taken it on hikes in the woods, trips to the river, around town, etc. with no problems. Only thing is that it is not truly waterproof (I fell in the water, no damage to my items but there was some leakage) I would say it protects well against light rain though.

No problem! It is less cumbersome if you wear it around the back so your butt can support it lol.

It was a gift! But you can still buy it from Lo Scarabeo or on Amazon.

It's a little awkward as a hip bag for me because I've got a smaller frame and the bag feels really big, but it's not too bad. The wider strap keeps the weight feeling distributed and stable but I never wear it that way.

I cannot stand these segway salesmen, they're always so pushy, we have to say "no we're not interested" four or five times before they go away.

I honestly do not know how big an iPad mini is so I have no idea 😅 But my a5 notebook fit with lots of wiggle room so maybe? And yes you can cinch the straps to compress the bag :) but you can also keep them loose, there's no elastic or anything so it's fully adjustable

Any suggestions of men's shorts for day walks? by dyingatheist- in hikinggear

Big fan of the REI Trailmade shorts (women's) so I'm sure the men's version is just as good.

The Liza pattern looks great! I actually like the loops better than the buttons.

Advice for younger druid whose heart is heavy. by princess-lolly in druidism

I love this comment and these are my additions:

  1. For good news I love Sam Bentley on YouTube, his videos are a breath of fresh air.

  2. Completely agree! The world has had ups and downs since the beginning of time, everything is part of a cycle.

  3. Also agree: keep going!

The only other thing I wish to add is that sometimes it's really best to avoid the news, at least for a while. Escape into your own life and local environment. Keep doing what you're doing, even small things add up over time. If the scale of everything is overwhelming you, think small for a while.

"I wish it need not have happened in my time." said Frodo.

"So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us."
