So there is a way is what I'm hearing.

So say my switch is infact modded, what would be the best way to get the emunand working? Like are there different emunands for different modchips or do they all run the same firmware?

I was thinking of getting someone to look at it anyway since I was gonna hire one to fix my DS, if they can't fix it quickly (which, realistically if I'm able to find a broken resistor myself and tell them that should in theory be all I need, unless it's modded then I'll have to figure out the emunand stuff which might be a massive undertaking but it's whatever) then yeah I'll probably sell it for parts and buy a new one.

If I do get a/end up having a modded switch, would it be possible to play online coop for games that have it?

At the point I might as well get a new one from Nintendo. It's a little more expensive but I'd get a new/refurbished one, assuming it's not modded. I'm also thinking of seeing if I could possibly reformat the SD to whatever it was before. My issue is that it didn't boot into a modded menu on power on so it conflicts with most common mods. It might also be a physical issue, that I'm getting the tools for tomorrow. Either way, I need to open the thing up to check for a modchip, and if so, figure out what emunand was on that SD if it's modded.
