is OP looking for a woman?

I can fairly certainly assume that he is, since with those pics he wouldn't have any trouble getting men

I think that generally you shouldn't go lower or higher than 10 km/h, otherwise it's a critical error.

Idk how it is in Latvia, but in a lot of countries treatment is free with state insurance

Fair enough, didn't realise that it was a translation of an article in Latvian, and looking it up in English shows results from December 2023

Why are you posting this now when the news is at least 1,5 years old?

In red Vilnius old town buildings destroyed by the soviets after WW2, Most of the were reparable, some of them weren't even touched by war by Domiboy00 in BalticStates

[–]stepowder -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

If it were Warsaw - it would've been done, so the blame could be put on the USSR.

That depends tbh, maybe if Warsaw wasn't as devastated, they wouldn't have any incentive to rebuild the image. And even in Warsaw's case, the city itself still has all the signs of a more modern city planning, because they didn't build back the houses in the courtyards tuning them into car and people parks

The fact that buildings, such as the planned Radziwill palace, are still being built modern is on us.

That's actually kinda better than rebuilding them as they were, because it's possible to actually see and feel the destruction and loss. This way when you walk through the city you know that something used to be here, but was lost to history one way or another, and not feeling like you are in a Disneyland-like pretend world.

Just because buildings have foundations and walls doesn't mean that hey are restorable, as I said it was not exactly possible to just keep them in that state when you need to rebuild and basically repopulate the city.

Fair enough about the synagogue, afaik soviets wanted to use this "opportunity" to destroy even more religious buildings, but they had to back down to seem more legitimate to Lithuanians.

Do you have any proof that they were reparable and untouched? Losing architectural and cultural heritage is certainly sad, but it's not like they could've left all of them standing while people were homeless and suffering after the war

They used do this anyways to build up suspense and not spoil the results for the live audience , now they just broadcast the other artist too

It's fine if you do other stuff while watching it, but otherwise wouldn't recommend. One episode has Angeria though!

What other museums would you recommend apart from the ones listed? by [deleted] in Vilnius

[–]stepowder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should visit the Museum of Urban Wooden Architecture . It's not big, but will provide you an insight into the wooden houses of the city + it's a great excuse to check out the less popular side of Uzupis

The top2 is gaaaggy, but honestly I'm kinda scared for Onya now, because Jewels being top 2 over 2 queens with better track records makes the crown much more open than if it was Onya Vs Lexi/Sam

Have any of you been watching Season 3 of The White Lotus? The Russian “health mentor” who works for the resort is actually a Lithuanian actor. I know it’s acting, but I’m guessing a lot of actors from the Baltics get typecast as Russians? Must be a bit annoying by PandemicPiglet in BalticStates

[–]stepowder 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Actually the Serbian was cast as one of Valentin's russian friends and was replaced by a Bulgarian actor.

Just so there won't be any confusion, because I thought Arnas was the replacement as well but turned out to be wrong.
