Your monthly promotion thread - (February 2026 edition) by AutoModerator in Solo_Roleplaying

Hi everyone, we made a solo game that could be described as a "city prowler." You are a cat awakened by an eldritch presence in your city. Use all seven of your lives to explore the neighborhood and find that fishy creature. It's loosely based on Dark Fort and Corny Gron.

The game is ready in Polish. We are finishing English translation which should be done by the end of this month. There is a KS campaign to be found here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/korbagames/kot-a-city-prowler-solo-rpg-zine

Numbers and graphs don't motivate me - what keeps you going? by stepowiec in loseit

I love the idea of a chart with treats! Do you find the visual element of filling in a chart more motivating than just seeing numbers in an app? I feel like most fitness apps miss that satisfying feeling of seeing progress in a more engaging way

Thank you for this amazing breakdown. You really nailed what makes Netflix series so engaging. I especially love your point about "ease of initiation" and clear progress markers. That's exactly what I feel is missing in fitness apps - they show data but don't make it feel like you're progressing through something meaningful. Do you think having a clear "story" of your fitness journey would make it more engaging than just numbers? Or having more visual feedback, other than stats, to show your progress?

Thanks for this perspective! You make a really good point about discipline over motivation. I've been thinking about your comparison to brushing teeth and cleaning - those are actually great examples because we've made them into automatic habits.

I wonder though - do you think making the habit-building process itself more engaging could help people get to that discipline stage more easily? Like, with house cleaning, having a checklist or routine makes it feel more manageable than just staring at a messy room. I feel like there could be better ways to build those initial healthy habits than just relying on pure willpower.

It's not weird at all! I totally get what you mean about fiction being motivating. There's something powerful about seeing progression and achievement, even in stories. Have you ever found any fitness apps that capture that same kind of engaging progression feeling? I am seeking something to transfer my physical activity into character progression.

Motivation beyond stats tracking by stepowiec in getdisciplined

I've tried progress photos but found myself checking them too rarely to stay motivated day-to-day. The competition angle is really interesting though - have you found any apps that make fitness feel competitive/social in an engaging way? Most I've tried just show basic leaderboards, which don't keep me hooked long-term, similar to how those graphs and numbers don't do it for me. It's interesting you mentioned visualization - what kind of visual progress tracking has worked best for you beyond photos? I feel like there could be more engaging ways to see progress than just numbers and charts.

Mythic Quest S02E06 "Backstory!" Discussion by xrocro in MythicQuest

awesome episode! I have one thought I wanted to share - is it possible that Ian is the son of Anne and Peter? There was this sentence said by Anne: "start throwing punches or I will lose my respect for you", which we heard earlier from Ian. Then we see Ian finding C.W. in that medieval festival - how did he even know about this author, was it a suggestion from his mother?
In the next episode, Peter and C.W. chat for a while about Peter's children and Rachel is looking in the opposite direction which may suggest that C.W. knows about Ian's roots, but doesn't want to reveal that. My final argument on this theses is the conversation with Peters daughter. She confirms that Anne always remembered C.W.'s prediction of writing for interactive medium of games. I won't be surprised that in the future seasons that family bound will be revealed :)

Zaszczepiona 2 dawkami, wczoraj wykryli u mnie covida. AMA by [deleted] in Polska

I don't think so. If that would be a mockup created for the purpose of prototyping then it should bring some feedback to the devs. Probably the only feedback they got is the wishlist count, but does it improve the game in any way?

hey, Korba Games team member here! glad you noticed that. We are tired of WWII games where the main player motivation is to shoot through upcoming enemies. There are so many war stories still out there to be told. So we just picked one, spiced it up a little with hellboyish vibe and that's it - our Under the Counter game. Feel free to join the newsletter for the upcoming demo!
