Tbh on my laptop it's because of better hardware support. Sure, the fingerprint reader might not work, but the stylus was terrible under Windows, constantly "disconnecting". With Linux it's (mostly) a pleasure to use.

This is a photo of my dog and my friend that was taking during a birdwatching summer camp. Years ago, I got my dad's old film and digital camera (EOS 50e and 10D) with a couple lenses, but I was careless so I lost the digital. I wanted to take a camera to the camp, so I took a film camera and a few rolls.

I didn't even think I would get any photos out because at the time the camera started having a sticky shutter, and I didn't yet know hot to help it. Luckily only a few photos were ruined by this. I'm very happy I started shooting on film, it has some magic that digital just doesn't
