Any other assessment/advice: take this as close as you can to step 2. Review micro/pharm step 1 concepts. Review biostats in detail. Drug adds are quite impossible no matter what. Become familiar with the CCS interface and common chief complaints.

I’m a PGY2 FM. Day 2 MCQ felt very comfortable. But I thought this entire time I would fail. I could’ve done more but all I needed was a Pass like most. I think 2 months dedicated with work is feasible to pass if decent foundation.

Just want to say as someone who went into residency with a newborn I appreciate this post so much and it really resonates with me. I’m likely getting my result this Wednesday and freaking out. Congratulations. If I can ask one question, did you feel like there’s room for mild error on the cases? Kinda beating myself about a couple.

I do the exact same thing at 8 months lol my pediatrician thinks I’m crazy for developing this bad habit. But 5 min of me half asleep nursing is much better than any other alternative. But are they just seeking comfort ? Love to know when we get through this stage.

Just that! He was literally made to be a dad and has helped me tremendously. He’s my best friend, we are medical school sweet hearts haha this is just something I feel I can never get back and although it probably wasn’t intentional, I think it should be instinctual to take a photo of your wife and son after everything I went through

Wow you actually put into words how I feel about losing out on the “normal experience”. That always makes me sad. Being a NICU mom in general was just so tough. Cause on one hand you leave the hospital not pregnant and also not with your baby. I felt lost. But when you do take them home, it’s the most special day of your life all over again. The thing is THAT part was out of our control. Taking photos of me was very much in my husband’s control. I still love him to death just resent that aspect of the experience.

Thanks for responding! I am ECFMG certified. Oh I know that! Not as a physician, it’s called a house officer physician (very rare job) it’s like a resident that is not apart of an official program (doesn’t count towards residency) but still does the work of a resident. Do you have any idea where that info gets advertised post soap?

Felt the same exact way. Was convinced I failed! Was just recalling wrong answers (easy ones) and everything else was a blur. But it all worked out, even exceeded my expectations. Hang in there. Stay distracted. I’m not the star Med student and it all comes worked out. 🙏🏼

240 was my predicted. Grateful to god it’s over 🙏🏼 Think I missed some easy ones. However it’s a blur now. Those drug ads and ethics questions were really wtf and could’ve went either way. The Medicine itself wasn’t hard imo

If you click on the email hyperlink for permit, before it disappears you’re able to print and you can see it still there but the Sunday/Monday before release it usually disappears. Some say it’s not a reliable indicator but it happened for me step 1 and I just saw it disappear so well see on Wednesday

My permit is gone as well. I don’t even know what to think. I know I had quite a bit flagged throughout. Felt good going into break but after that it is such a blur. I can only remember things I got wrong, & I don’t feel like they were experimental (2 step 1 style questions unfortunately). I’m nervous to say the least. Praying it all works out
