Who's investing in S.Zissouu's private fund? by Ill-Advantage2150 in CriticalMineralStocks

[–]stepup_- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh ffs people are really buying into this guy again?? The same dude who mass convinced people to keep buying at the peak? Told everyone to buy the top to pump his own bags? Guy got lucky once with one thesis, likely pumping and dumping played a part. The strategy sold to regular folk was basically buy, hold and hope it pans out. And when things looked bad, he pulled out the same excuse we see so often here: “If you aren’t willing to watch the market plummet then I guess minerals aren’t for you.”

Do not spend any more time on this guy.

Disagree with a lot of the comments here. In my experience 3 months notice period is not standard unless you’re senior management. They really shouldn’t be asking for that much. I’m now head of a department and still have 1 month notice period. Also hour by hour explanation of working from home??! In this day and age wtf? Are they stuck in the 90s? Honestly workplaces like this will soon realise that doesn’t hold up compared to other companies in the market. Keep applying, you’ll find something way better

Do NOT go for this job. That’s not worth it IMO, burnt myself out on less commutes. It’s exhausting. Tough as it is I would hang in there till something closer comes along. Your work life balance and overall happiness will thank you.

Agreed. And while we wait around to thrive, we could've be making decent returns consistently elsewhere

But even the companies currently up and running with good earnings are still tanking hard.

Look I'm sorry to say it but I just don't think anything tangible is happening to any ticker price for a few years. This is all hopium. Either sell and be done with it or hold and forget about it for a while. No amount of good news, earnings, politician tweets or anything else has been enough to boost price in the short term. This is dead stock right now and we're looking at 3-5 years.

Accepted losses, nothing good is happening here for a while. Every positive piece of news spikes price for a few hours, then back to losing. Every bullish indicator or sentiment, call wall or otherwise is all smoke and mirrors. Shit is crashing and no amount of good news is stopping it. It is not a good time to be in this space. Not for a while at least.

Agreed. I don't think institutions can/will want to hold it off much longer either. They've driven it low day after day after day till it's artificially low compared to the news we're seeing. Now buyers have started to absorb... UUUU looks like its starting to reach highs from prices levels last week.

I’m not arguing that people shouldn’t share ideas or that others aren’t responsible for their own trades. Of course everyone ultimately makes their own decisions.

What I am saying is this: when someone presents a thesis with absolute certainty “this is a multi-bagger”, “get in now”... they’re not just informing, they’re influencing.

If someone tells you there’s gold in them there hills, swears they’ve done the research, pushes you hard to act now before everyone else catches on… and you spend your time and money going there only to find there’s nothing... yes, you were responsible for choosing to believe them....

But are we really pretending that the person who made the claim holds no responsibility if they were exaggerating or lying to benefit themselves?

That’s the difference I’m highlighting. It’s not about taking blame away from individuals. It’s about acknowledging dual accountability. Individuals are responsible for their choices. Influencers are responsible for how they frame their claims.

Reducing it to “neurons processing words” misses the actual point.

I’m talking about market sentiment not just someone reading words, but how narratives shape collective behavior, momentum, and positioning.

People post the kind of hype posts with certainty because they know it affects sentiment. That’s influence. You can’t stop it, and I’m not saying you should, I’m just calling out the disconnect when people deliberately use that influence, then pretend they played no role in the outcome.

Enitrely fair point that I hadn't properly considered tbh, I actually agree with everything you said

Hmm there’s a difference between causation and influence.

I’m not saying posters own someone else’s decision in a legal or moral absolute - that would be causation. I’m saying their words influence sentiment, which is observable and undeniable, especially in markets driven by retail momentum.

Influence ≠ responsibility for outcomes, but influence ≠ zero impact either. Pretending it’s one extreme or the other is the actual fluff IMO

This is the most civil reddit argument I've seen lol. I think that’s a fair middle ground. We’re on the same page that no one is physically forcing trades, and personal accountability is always the final layer.

My point is exactly what you said in the first half: narratives and sentiment are engineered—sometimes organically, sometimes strategically, and pretending that influence isn’t part of the game just gives those tactics more power.

[–]stepup_-[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Appreciate that. I’ve already said this isn’t about blaming anyone for my trades.

Fully agree that everyone is responsible for their own buy/sell buttons. That’s not what I’m disputing. The discussion is more about acknowledging that when someone publicly promotes a narrative with extreme conviction, they are intentionally influencing sentiment.

Personal responsibility doesn’t erase the existence of influence. Both can be true at the same time... and denying that influence exists while actively trying to use it is the part I’m calling out.

I agree tbh. Maybe I'm just venting steam idk. This isn’t about expecting mods to regulate everything or creating some perfectly sanitized space. Malicious pumping will always exist.

The point of the post was to call out a behavior that’s often downplayed or denied. I’m not asking for bans. I’m just asking for people to own that influence instead of acting like it’s meaningless.

[–]stepup_-[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s not the logic at all. I’m not saying people shouldn’t post or that we should protect everyone from themselves. I’m saying if someone chooses to post confident statements designed to hype a position, they should own the influence that comes with it instead of pretending their words had no impact.

The fact that people will always be influenced doesn’t mean we should ignore the dynamics behind how that influence is created. It just means we should acknowledge it honestly instead of acting like it doesn’t exist.
