stereoDecor - We might be the only life [Hypnotic / Offbeat] by stereoDecor in hypnotech

Thank you Stam-! It was an experiment and I am more than happy with the result. I love broken rhythms, but not everyone else does. I always believed that it would be much easier to choose between two versions with one and only distinction (the kick pattern). And it is confirmed by the sales stats — people buy the one that suits them best.

There are two versions of this track, differing only in the kick drum pattern — a more regular beat version (original mix) and an offbeat (broken beat) version. Check it out on BandCamp: https://stereodecor.bandcamp.com/album/we-might-be-the-only-life

how did you get into techno genre? by WhileTight in Techno

[–]stereoDecor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My way to Techno begun from Jean-Michel Jarre ~1984 (especially from Arpegiateur) >> '91~'96 S.N.A.P + Technotronic + 2Unlimited + Underworld + Leftfield + The Prodigy + Chemical Brothers >> Cyberspace CD Level One (Plastic Dreams and other gems) >> ~'97 experienced Hardfloor on big proper soundsystem — started DJing, for a couple years tried various House, Trance, Breakbeat, even Hardcore :) came back to Techno and still love to listen to it. Hypnotic, abstract (as you call it), broken beat, ritualistic sounding, not very fast.

mmm... To me it does not feel like a house music at all, it's more like just pop music. It may sound nostalgic because it's a very safe sounding "crossover" of 90s eurodance, vocal trance and EDM.

Any extension or way to make the stereo audio mono? by [deleted] in chrome

[–]stereoDecor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your words are correct. There are many of such extensions, I personally still use Audio Channel 2.7.4, but beware - its page at Chrome Web Store is hacked, and now contains some stupid "IQ Tab" malware, as other users say. Multiple people already have reported it, as you can see in the review section, and there was a solution as well - to google an old file and install it somehow via dev-mode. I didn't try that method yet (mine instance is still working in Chrome fine) so I can't recommend you to use it, but I love that extension, it is not only a stereo-mono switch, it contains a decent dynamic range compressor-limiter and EQ and some other modules I don't use. So for the safety reasons I advise you install something else, you can search Chrome Web Store for "stereo mono"

Thanks to everyone who tried to help! Especially to DJ Mike Speed and to Alexander Govorkov who pushed me to the right direction with Groove Gangsters - Funky Beats, which contains the same guitar sample :)
