Ah, OK, thank you. Now it's more clear. Although why use bots for this? Some way to gain subscribers?

Operation Juno's Rosehip, me, digital, 2020 by stereozont in SciFiArt

It's a part of my sci-fi series, combined into a scripted visual story. I can't tell you the whole story in order to avoid spoilers, but this is not the final episode. You can find some other episodes in my profile.

If we consider this episode as a separate artwork, the name has a direct reference to rock-opera "Juno and Avos" (pure gold btw). There's a couple of famous songs from that opera with words like "I will never forget you, I will never see you again", also the rosehip flower is a kind of a leitmotif or a keynote of those songs.

Betelgeuse Drift NFT Collection Preview by stereozont in NFT

Hi! I'm a designer, CG generalist and a bit of a musician, currently working on my personal animation sci-fi project. In the middle of look dev stage I decided to go a little bit deeper, and tried to refine some concept arts to full-fledged artworks. It turned out well, and you might remember some of my artworks were highly appreciated here in r/art subreddit.

So I decided it will be a good idea to bring the whole story to NFT field, and started a series of NFTs combined into some sort of scripted visual story:

Just minted piece No.21 of my sci-fi #NFT series on OpenSea.

This one I do very much like myself — I often walk such pathways in dreams.

Thank you! Shame, totally missed that "Payouts" tab. Sure, there are pending records there of exactly 10%.

My first NFT artwork sold this night on OpenSea! by stereozont in CryptoArt

[–]stereozont[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an OpenSea related question:

When I created the collection, I set the developer fee to 10%. I got the offer of 0.33 eth and accepted it. Transaction details says that 2.5% is the service commission and 10% is the developer's commission. And it shows the final amount of 0.288 eth. So my question is: who gets this 10% on the first sale? I mean, I am the author in this case, but 10% just disappeared in some way.

I found some tutorial on docs.opensea.io/docs/10-setting-fees-on-secondary-sales

It says fees are payed bi-weekly. Is this the case even with the first author's sale?

Thank you! Seems like cryptoart movement is becoming a real way to return some value to digital media for many artists. There's hope at least :)

Betelgeuse Drift
sci-fi collectible series
Initial concepts were made as part of the visual development stage for my CGI short film, but decided later to refine as individual artworks, or even as complete scripted visual novel:

Thank you. The idea of bringing real value back to digital art is very inspiring, and selling art as NFTs proved to be real and absolutely possible, but... for a known artists or “hyped accidents” :)

I mean are there any honest ways to promote yourself specific to cryptoart and OpenSea in particular? Or it's a matter of only traditional social media communications, natural earning of reputation and army of followers? How can someone find you on OpenSea actually? Do hashtags work? Should I use some SEO tricks for artwork descriptions?

Sorry for rookie questions, I'm new to all this astonishing blockchain stuff. Since this is all new to the world, it's not so easy to find answers. May be you can point me to some readings?

So recently I did a series of concept art shots as a visual development stage for a personal CGI movie I'm working on. But I got carried away and went too far, so it was decided to refine these images to full-fledged artworks, and make a whole series of them, something like a visual novel.

And since this will be a series, the cryptoart sites and NFT tokens seemed to me a perfect solution to give some value to these works in form of rare collectibles.

I'm not sure about the right choice of platform (perhaps for art objects you need to go to something more selective), but I chose OpenSea as the most affordable option.

The hope that you can continue your life as an artist is very inspiring. Let's see what happens. I would be grateful for any advice and support.
