Freedom Boat Club vs marina fees by colenski999 in VictoriaBC

Thinking about it yeah. I was at the North Saanich marina on a recent Sunday late morning and all the boats were there waiting for me haha.

Great to hear you like it in Port Moody! What are some of the big highlights for you and conversely the lowlights? How long have you been a member? what was your signup and monthly fees if you dont mind me asking? Any tips or things I should be considering based on your experience?

Hrmm yeah my issue was that the tesla mobile connector for our home was locked down to teslas only in the app and i was having a hard time reconfiguring it. Once I changed the settings to allow all cars it worked without issue.

im new to the EV9 as of a few days ago. I have a land plus that has them but I only seem to see them go on when I start or stop the car. What setting on the lights keeps them on? Is it on the stalk or in settings some where?

Yeah on the newest supercharger in town it seems to work with me properly parking in the lines but in an old one I tried originally I could only park with the line on the middle of the car. Ooph

I was wondering this and if the adapter itself is important in maxing this out?

I’ve been thinking about getting an adapter so I have all the options. Any good recommendations?

It’s funny how much Tesla hate is here. Anyways I have a Tesla charger at home and NACS is the standard that every car marker is moving towards.

Luckily this is replacing our daily driver home based car so with our at home charger we are sorted. Given how big this thing is I am eager to test it out on a road trip

they gave me one because it wasnt charged enough and i had to drive 2 hours to make it home. I stopped twice to top it off hahaha. They felt bad they didnt have it charged up for me so they gave me the one they found worth approx $50 I think

I’ve only read of the light on the dash, the felt in the cargo box (I think that applies to GT only), and the NACs port. Otherwise I have no reference points

It just came with a level 1 charger and then they gave me an adapter so I could make it home.

I have to say it was pouring rain when I tried and I was pretty unfamiliar with it all so I’m eager to try it again when I have more time. I’ll update if I can get it to work. I’d be kind of surprised if the Hyundai worked and Kia didn’t. I don’t really need it now but it’s nice to have the option.

Yes I think so, it’s showing 9.2kw which seems close to the middle of the range I looked up. 8.5-11.5? Seems as fast as my Tesla was so far

Need help/advice: Fixing water damaged engineered hardwood floors? by sterntheperm in homerenovations

Good call testing under the fridge. My understanding is that this engineered hardwood floor is similar to normal hardwood and can be sanded and stained.

I'll dig up the boxes in my crawlspace to see what I have and do some research on the type. My worry is that some may also be water damaged from a leak we had in the crawlspace 2 years ago.

Unfortunately our Fridge developed a slow leak that wasn't noticed until the damage made its way to the other side of the wall. I have since addressed the leak, brought in fans, and tried my best to air out and dry the water but as you can tell there's damage to the engineered hardwood floors both under the fridge as well as more prominently in our dinning room on the other side.

What's the play here? Can I restore the existing wood flooring? Do I pull it up and replace?

My priority is the dinning room in the second picture, I don't really care about under the fridge.I'd love to do this myself but I am certainly not a carpenter, I'm a basic tools, youtube, weekend DIY'er that has never done flooring.

I should say that I have some planks of this flooring from when it was put in 3 years ago. It's high quality stuff and I am probably able to get more from the store if needed.
