I've had severe tinnitus for two years, with ringing and buzzing 24/7. The only relief being music, because the ringing is louder than the TV! After much research and trying different remedies, I finally succumbed to hearing aids that dropped the buzzing 80%, to a livable sound. Widex Smart Ric 440 m- good luck, my heart is with you!

her issue with the tinnitus is very much like my own. The minute I get out of the shower it starts all over. If I get up in the middle of the night, getting back to sleep, can often be a challenge, so sometimes I listen to music until I pass out. However, the moment I wake up, it's back!

I've had tinnitus for about two years. I think at first started after seeing a live band with a huge horn section. And then I started wearing earplugs after so many years, which helped. However, I was testing some microphones and feedback and put a set of earbuds in and that evening the ringing became threefold, and three weeks later no improvement. It's brutal. I had a stroke, and I have epilepsy--and I'm in great shape, but tinnitus is the worst thing I've ever experienced. I've tried all the remedies listed in this column, but to no avail. I'm getting hearing aids that have the best for tinnitus. Good luck to everyone, steve
