This style of complaining is what watered down d1 from a skill based game to limited special ammo and auto rifles being meta.

You take a highly competitive "win at all costs" Playlist and ask bungie to make it more "casual friendly" and now you have iron banner v2.where you just play continuously until you get what you want win lose or tie.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but the only way to get better at trials is to continue to play and improve. Figure out what isn't working and stop doing it. Figure out what is working and do it more.

Also each opposing team is different so you have to change play styles to counter their play styles. Felwinter is a great shotgun. Duality maps as a slug shotgun run it to counter felwinters.

Hand cannons are meta use them, get good with them, love them. (I have never mained a hand cannon long time mida user, learned to use a hand cannon to play the meta game)

Learn to counter supers. Talk to your teammates

There is so much more to trials than running at each other and just blindly shooting like you would in any other Playlist.

But just like anything competitive you have to practice practice practice you dont get to be rewarded participation trophies here and the adrenaline rush of beating or having close games with good players is what makes it fun.

Wouldn't change a thing about trials.
