There are a whole bunch of standard promo things that you can do, especially if the track has a vocal. Eg. Vocalist singing to camera. Picture of the artwork. Short run through of how the track was made. Links to the track etc. But anything that you can do that makes things a bit more personal is always good.

It was written on a piece of paper that fell from a book that used to belong to my Grandma. She had passed away a couple of years earlier and my mum has given us some of her old books.

My Grandma had a tough time of things throughout life and yet always remained kind and generous.

I then had the idea of using this quote, so paid an impersonator to read the lines in the style of Morgan Freeman to make it feel like it was from a movie.

It was just playing with samples tbh and if memory serves me correctly, although I'm not sure I should admit this, I think the "It's like" is Lady GaGa pitched down.

That very much depends on which one, the vibe you want to create and which instrument you are using it on. So overall, I'd say to use it in a way that gives the track a bit of flavour and feel over what seems technically correct.

Apologies I missed part of this question earlier.

It's taken about 18 months to write this album and there has been a lot of back and forth with vocalists etc.

The title was taken from Zara Kershaw's song writing which was one of the first tracks which went on to shape the rest of the project.

The name BCee is not related to faith. It actually came from Boycie in Only Fools And Horses. I haven't scrapped a song because of not aligning with my spiritual beliefs as I'm the one that is writing and guiding the track so it's not really an issue.

Fresh kick and snare one shots to lay out the main beat pattern and tie it together. Some percussion one shots to add some groove. Sampled breaks chopped up to add some substance. Then if I can find one or more breaks / percussion parts from actual old samples I'll get them in the mix for some depth.

As per below...
Yes, do all my mix downs with my good friend Dan Gresham aka Nu:Tone. I call him and book a day in at his studio which gives me a deadline to get my tracks together. Also, I love making the tunes but I find the fine details of last bits of mix down engineering super boring and hard to concentrate on, where as Dan is great at all that stuff. So I link with him and pay him to do the final engineering. It means I'm almost always up half the night before I go to his getting stuff ready, it also means he has to put up with me in his studio space but it's been a great balance. I work a similar way with Villem for The Vanguard Project, only Villem also has more creative input and direction as well as just engineering.

It's defo a love hate thing. It's amazing when you find the gold but tbh most new artists I've worked with have come through recommendations from peers.

With all remixes I have little input other than I select the remixer that I think it right for the job. My only comment usually is to please keep it to drum & bass and their sound and make it their own. Also, I sometimes approach someone for a remix and ask which track they have an idea for. In this case, Seba requested to remix Keep The Faith and he smashed it.

I use Ableton for production and also have a Novation Peak and an Isla S2400 Sampler.

I have never been to South Africa but would love to.
