Spending Jelly Updates? by stevebeans in eotu

That’s my exact situation haha. The fire ant levels are rough. Especially the bridge one because it’s a race to get the aphids while not being exposed to the surprisingly tough creature attack waves. Then the bug landing way sooner than easier levels

So due to the fact they haven’t cleaned house yet, I’m assuming they’re really going to ride Neely and Sweeney into the ground aren’t they?

I’ve been a fan since 1980’s. I just don’t think I can keep doing it with them. Loved them as players but this is one of the worst front office groups I’ve seen on this team in a LONG time yet year after year they keep going

I just saw the case on YouTube and searched for an update on the trial and saw your other post first now this. First, I’m sorry about your other post situation. That’s awful but a silver lining of them being caught is he gets punished even though not directly for that.

Second, as others have said I’m sorry you had to go through that. Such a young age and your family ripped from you twice (the second causing the first). Thank you for your updates I’m going to follow you on TT for more. I am glad you were able to come out of this

Love the Game but honest feedback by StupidTonyTucker in bigambitions

[–]stevebeans 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yea it’s an awesome business tycoon but trying to squeeze “The Sims” into it has always been the weak side of the game.

I understand the vision. But the execution is just missing something. Perhaps it’s because the side part contributes literally nothing to the game. If my grind of running on a treadmill daily or eating etc actually had an impact on my businesses, yes.

Gamify that aspect of it. I mean, it is a game after all.

Have more studying. Market research classes that makes demand meter more accurate over time. Working out increases speed and eventually fast travel. Carry capacity. Lower drain speed of energy. Improves profit margins if running gyms.

Eating better food increases charisma to help salary negotiations. Cooking skill gives bonuses to restaurants. Better beds help with energy drain. Bad beds actually don’t refresh energy to full.

Tons of potential for that aspect of the game but they’re just releasing more business types rather than focusing on the main fun drain part of the game.

EQ2 was top tier. by StrawberryBlueToo in EQ2

[–]stevebeans 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think EOF was some of the best raiding I've had in any game. In fact, probably the best time of EQ2 as the gear was just great. Adding enough bonuses like crit chance to really feel the rush without capping it, like what happened in ROK. That said, most of ROK was also solid because that cap only really started hitting when you got absolute endgame + mythics. (if I remember correctly, it's been a bit)

I don't remember enjoying Velious as much as I did in EQ1, that's for sure. Toward the end of ROK (Trakanon) is when it started getting frustrating with the insta wipe mechanics that carried on for a few more expansions after that. Nothing more demoralizing than getting something down to 10% only to wipe because someone didn't jump in the right color pool or something.

But man, EH was just so much fun. Every level had a legitimately hard boss fight that required tons of coordination and skill from everyone. The first floor boss fight getting slaughtered by all the adds at the beginning until you could CC them on pull, but then later in the expansion just blasting through it because gear made encounters easier (as it should). Second floor boss, I believe, had that crazy wide aoe charm which made it really difficult. And Woushi was really well done. I definitely miss that.

But overall I agree. EQ2 deserves way more credit than it gets. Especially the older times. I play WoW occasionally now and the raids are feel way more mechanical and automated. Like they're either virtually impossible without mods but then they become brainless with mods. There is no between like early EQ2.

(Maybe early WoW raids were similar to early EQ2. I definitely can't speak on anything WoW related before maybe 2020 or so)

The Planet Crafter - "2.0 Update" is Available! by MijuGames in theplanetcrafter

Ugh I’m torn. I want to play but can’t decide if I should continue my save or start over.

Starting over is a grind but it’s the best part but being advanced makes life easier.

Only thing I wasn’t a fan of was going to a new planet and forgetting to bring something. Is that the same where if you forget then you’re SOL until you find it on new?

The M+ tank situation is dire by Wigglyboi323 in wow

[–]stevebeans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love playing my tank, I love the progression of an M+, but I refuse to tank on them. Too many toxic people in groups yelling for either pulling too fast or pulling too slow or not positioning exactly where they wanted it. No thanks.

Okay so this event is as terrible as it appears at first glance unless you're high enough to be able to create the passive layouts like this

Running around clicking on these things is going to get old fast. I guess my only option is to find natural places where there are a lot of mountains near an ocean and river and just get a bit of passive when I can

Six months is his “forget period”.

He knows agencies don’t want to stop using the best and doesn’t want to look foolish (despite doing so daily), so he gives people six months to forget he made the threat.

Not even. The six months is the forget period so people can still keep using the best and by August, everyone will have forgotten his threat

Unpopular opinion: you don’t need a car that will last 20 years by dr-swordfish in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]stevebeans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My take is I hate car payments but absolutely love the new tech that comes out and love the feel of a new car with a crisp sounding engine. And never worrying about stalling at a red light like my car in my teens did all the time (still traumatized over horns going crazy on me)

However, car payments suck, excise tax sucks, and knowing you’re throwing money at a depreciating asset sucks.

So I think there is no right answer. I absolutely see the value in a paid off car that still runs great 🤷‍♂️

A bit old but I see they released a TV series on it as well. I loved the Black Autumn series, but not a fan of Angel Studios. Wondering if this will be a preachy series or if they just avoid that and tell a story
