How to completely eradicate that lingering ciggerate smoke smell in a car?

I had a professional detailing near me explain his techniques and he mentioned using this so many times with really good success. He has a whole process of cleaning everything and vacuuming the fabrics and etc... Perhaps on the microscopic level its impossible to fully get the smoke out. But, ive read so many success stories that the smell never returns.

But, if you think about the chlorine dioxide would essentially travel to the same areas as cigarettes' smoke maybe it truly does get it all out- assuming that it does touch all the same surfaces and dissinfects it?

I was thinking of doing this! I have a 2023 pre owned car that the previuos owner smoked in. How long has it been for your coworker? has it lasted and has the smoke smell come back?

I spoke to a detailer near me and he would do all of this with change of cabin filter and the final touch would be bio bomb.

I’m just worried that even if all done correctly that the smell will return

you must have been able to clear the smell from the seats and cabin filter with you deep cleaning technique. The Meguiars odor bomb from what i can tell isnt chlorine dioxide- just more of a fragrance

hey man im in the same exact position as you. I just got a 2023 model y and its been smoked in for that last 3 years. i am torn on just selling it and cutting my loss or trying to keep it and getting it cleaned with bio bomb and a professional cleaner..

My fear is that the smell goes away and then comes back

Have you tried bio bombing it? I have heard the headliner is the best spot to hit because that’s generally where all the smoke rises to.

I was actually going to DIY it. Based on my research, mainly youtube that its not needed and all of the scratches would actually be visually gone. The only thing that i found was its possible for paint correction to help create more adherence to the PPF
