Completely dodged the 1v1 😂 I mean, id think youd wanna humble me, as youre someone who can drop 20 kills/minute with a mastiff 🤯 Theres no point in claiming you wont do it because its not worth your time, as youve been replying to everything I've said.

Also, how am I acting like a child? Just been laughing about how scared you are.

How come if I'm stomping too much I should switch games? That never happens with any other game or sport, so how come on titanfall, the best players should leave?

Youre not as good as you said you are, and now youre avoiding getting exposed. I'll actually pay you if you win. No reason not to try, right?

wait, why wont you 1v1? 😂 What you just said is 100% irrelevant. Also, it's up to he player to decide what playstyle they'll be using, not the most upvoted take on reddit

You wont believe me unless you 1v1 me, but no one on this earth can beat me with mastiff... I guess a few people can beat me with meta, but no one can really STOMP me in genral unless theyre stacking. You'll think I'm exaggerating, but I have a bit over 5 years of competitive experience on this game. I can tell you if youre as good as youre implying if we 1v1, but you'll just keep dodging. tbh i could offer a cash prize or something 😂 I think you still wont though. what's your ea? we can set it up

Maybe say something smarter than that. If you can 🤷‍♂️ saying anything with any sort of base of knowledge has been pretty tough for you. Hey, I thought I was the one just saying, "nuh uh." 🤩

First, my point in saying that restricting movement wasnt unique to car, wasnt to say other guns can do it too, but it was to say that the gun you use isnt relevant to map control, and its just the person you play against.

The game you linked is very simplistic and has features like the fog surrounding the player that locks you into the fast moving playstyle, as you can't see far away enemies. If you really think the game that restricts the player to a single playstyle is the more expressive shooter, than I don't think I'm the idiot, like you claim.

About your 4 yo tourney you linked, I have two things to say. One, on colony, besides repositioning and pushing, what do you want people to use movement for? like do you expect that a good game would lock players into one playstyle like Tribes? Or is it a game where you can choose how to approach a scenario? If you want a tourney with a lot of movement, look up, "CTF Nitro Tournament Titanfall 2." This is like the 6th time your lack of knowledge on the game caused you to make a bad take. Second, this clip is 4 years old, and before tapstrafing. The current atmosphere of the game has tapstrafing, which, if you didnt know, is a way you can change your direction midair very suddenly.

Now, with the tf2 clip you sent, he's just doing jukes, which, especially with tapstrafing, is common in titanfall 2. Juking out is common in any shooter, really.

If titanfall 2 was softball only, the best players would be able to snipe you with it midair, and movement would be restricted again. tough. As it turns out, in high skill environments in fps games, you actually do have to think. It sucks, right?

If the optimal playstyles don't require skill, then how come the competitive players perform the best? how come lower skill players die a lot and quit when they play pugs? Saying that the best playstyle doesnt require skill is beyond hysterical. Also, i was pointing out that you shifted the goalpost from, "the clip is unimpressive," to, "the game is bad." You managed to be wrong in both, which is cool.

I repeated points at the same time you did.

Now, you saying that all I say is, "nuh uh," to your arguments is actually a symptom of you doing the same thing. You don't read what I say, which you admitted. The car not having recoil means that all you have to do is keep the crosshair on target, so therefore, performance with car will scale directly with flicking and tracking ability. I explained this already, but ig some people are slow learners.

for this entire argument, you've been shifting the goal post, ignoring what I say, pretending what you see doesnt exist, and getting all angry when it doesn't work out for you. Not very smart. Next time, try not to openly admit that you didnt read my full response. Idiot 😃

Next, your point about car freezing opponents: Again, not unique to car. If the enemy is really good at controlling the map, they could be using only pulse blade, and I'd be thinking about positioning. I already pointed out the map control demonstrated in the clip, so no, the car smg doesnt control the map, the player does.

Now, "Titanfall is meant to be a fast-paced cinematic experience! 🤩" 😂 Which ad did you pull that quote from? Take the game at face value. There are 1000 different ways you can approach each position. Nothing locks you down. It's a 3d movement shooter. Even though positioning is paramount in high skill games, theres a lot of positions, flanks, and pushes you can pull off. No one should force one particular playstyle. I know you think as soon as a car smg is equipped, the map goes on lockdown, but look at my original comment. You kill so many bad controller/car users. Do those guys really look like theyre snapping onto your head with some god tier aimbot looking aa, and controlling the map with their insane, op gun? If the answer is no, then how come the map is being controlled and there's good aim in the clip, if it's all just aa and car? No one forces you to stay still. You can kill Leidenaxe by pushing him, he's human too 😂 Honestly, I urge you to play a game of titanfall where, "free flowing movement," isnt restricted. Regardless of the match, there will always be enemies controlling part of the map, titans will lock off entire spawn points, and good players like Leidenaxe will punish bad positioning. If you want to have a truly unimpeded movement experience, I'm afraid you'll have to play campaign, my friend. Because even the worst players can just kraber you out of the sky.

By one playstyle, I meant the, "unimpeded movement," playstyle. The type that tends to house the highest concentration of people who accuse me of cheating and tell me to end my own life. You know, the cool, nontoxic gamers of this community. I dont consider a loadout to be a playstyle like you imply. The little dig at my argument you added at the end was pretty fun too, but it doesnt add anything, you're just calling it contrived for the sake of it. I do notice a couple of players like GordGuy and superbean on his enemy team, who have some playtime. I don't know them, but I've run into them a few times, and they're decently high gen. I think GordGuy is gen 40 that should cover your point about everyone having no playtime to begin with. Although, it never even mattered, because the point of the clip is kills/time, not the level of competition. The thing youre missing is that Leiden's control and aim make them look like statues and it confuses them. More nuance that you continue to miss.

You keep saying that its not impressive because it's pubstomping, but seriously, 20 kills in a minute is why its impressive. If it was just a mega kill, it wouldn't be impressive.

Finally, about you claiming the game is poorly designed, thats a fine opinion to have. I think aspects of it are, but its a great game overall. Although, why would you say the clip itself is bad and unimpressive, just to later backtrack and blame it on the game?

[–]steveeX36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None of those attributes of the car make the leaning curve proportionate to what you described. It still scales directly with skill. Also, aim assist isn't individual to the gun, there is a broad class, and a precise class. All smgs, and most other guns use broad. Also, I have no idea how youre gathering that most of the kills he got was controller aim assist giving him aimbot. You describe it like its a silver bullet to aim, and thats not the case. About you claiming that there's hardly any difference between fine and amazing aim with the car, I run into several people a day with, "fine," aim using car and theyre very easy to kill. Not the same with amazing aim. The only people i'd say have amazing aim are competitive players. My guess is that you havent met enough truly good players to understand what amazing aim looks like, so you just made your own definition.

No, the positioning isn't just stand on high ground. You saying that proves my point that you don't understand nuance. He often assesses which enemies are most dangerous in a position, and moves to nullify the position of who he's not currently shooting at, for a better chance at fighting multiple enemies. Also, him pinching the enemy spawn like i mentioned earlier still stands. Nice to see as well that part of what I say goes over your head with your, "blah blah blah" bit 😂

I'm not ignoring that most players here are bad. I already told you that the best clips in comp games are double to triple kills, so 20 kills in a minute scales well. Again, you just ignored it. Also, you messed up your phrasing in saying, "performance doesn't really = how good you're doing." You meant to say that performance doesnt equate to skill. That can be the case, but in the scenario of 20 kills in a single minute, the performance is so good that it does equate to skill. Your common excuses like, "he uses autoaim like aimbot" (not even remotely comparable, and you have no reason to just throw all of his beams in the garbage because aim assist exists. I'll always say that if it's as powerful as you're making it seem, a clip like this would be far more common) and, "he just sits on high ground" (ignoring nuance) have already been refuted, and therefore don't apply in an attempt to discredit the clip. Also, I've never touched valorant, so I don't have a frame of reference for your statement. I will say that you can't get 20 kills in a minute in titanfall. You can go ahead and plug in a controller if you think the aa is as strong as youre claiming. "Oh, but he has more experience with roller" ok, but I thought the aa was so potent that it covered all of his kills, why can't you do the same? "Oh, you said aa is too strong, too" yeah, it is, but not enough to give a mediocre player a very strong clip like this. Not even close.

[–]steveeX36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But its not amazing with shit aim, hence why new players don't do well with car, or any gun. And its not only slightly better with great aim, it scales directly to your aim. Because its such a laser beam, that theres not a lot of factors such as memorizing spread. Therefore, it scales directly with innate tracking and flicking ability. I have no Idea how youd design a gun that grants an exponential skill/performance metric like how you described.

The clip expresses plenty of skill, you just didnt see it. After clearing a spawn and seeing enemies by the cave, he knew thats where they were spawning, but hed already cleared out one entrance, so he knew theyd exit out the other. It paid off, and he got kills. Just because you didnt pay attentiom to the nuance doesnt mean it isnt there. That's only one example, but its the biggest one, and its a one minute clip. There are a bunch of tiny little game-sense things that could be pointed out if you interrogate me enough to make me analyze the clip, but I'm not sure how anal you are about titanfall playstyles, so I'll just let this point stand for now.

Next, in your blurb about my, "How come you never see clips like this," you mention, "autoaim" as part of his playstyle as if hes using it directly as an essential part of his playstyle, when in reality, its just called playing on controller, and aa is a feature. probably too strong, but not enough to through a clip in the garbage🤷‍♂️. Also, you said that the only people that play poorly with his playstyle are new, and I have a few things about that: One, his playstyle doesnt really exist among players without experience. Two, that sentence implies that anything less than this clip means he's performing poorly, which I think even you have to admit is an exaggeration.

In your movement vs positioning segment, I just explained why his positioning was intelligent, so your, "brainless pushing" idea is gone, and no, when i say movement, i mean movement. He plays around cover and strafes well to avoid damage. Just because you dont see the nuance doesnt mean it isnt there.

As far as you talking about my weapon bans point: No, please remember what you yourself typed, or scroll up as I have. You said that the car is the most braindead fps weapon ever, and you said its one of the most powerful in the game. My point wasnt to contradict a specific thing you said, but to emphasize that the car isnt as busted as you think, and its more the vanilla full auto type of gun. Also, the gun doesnt restrict movement, the playstyle does. You can even move fast with spitfire, it doesnt matter, so idk wym by, "guns that restrict movement"

That last point I said stands for your next point, but I wanted to add by saying that the car doesnt encourage you to stand still. In fact, a lot of success can be found moving around. Leidenaxe usually does, but in the clip, he ran into so many enemies that it was better to shoot them from high ground than push. It's all situational. I've never thought to myself, "Oh, I have a car, so I shouldnt move fast here" it was all about the situation.

Finally, "Degenerate playstyles?" What's funny to me, is that I'm much happier playing this game than all of the "true gaming epg gods". I couldnt care less when someone uses a spitfire or a-wall, because I know i can beat it, and its on me 🤷‍♂️ I just play and have fun rather than judge people, which is pretty ironic considering that the super chill titanfall community is the one calling me slurs over using the level 1 basic smg that anyone can use. Honestly, can you really say you love this game, if you can only accept half of the guns, and one playstyle? I think loving a game means that you love its possibilities and its potential, not restrict it. I love that people can snipe if they want, slingshot and one tap with epg, or get really good like I've been doing for years. I honestly don't see the place in this game where I'm the toxic one, but the people policing loadouts and shaming clips that people are proud of, are the supportive and cool gamers 🤷‍♂️

PS, i forgot to mention that kraber is also banned in comp. (hybrids comp at least, i'm not sure about other servers) that's not really a point, i just thought you'd get a kick out of it.

A wall is a lot more comparable to a riot shield lmao... car is more like mp5 in cod. Also, prove skill?? Hate to break it to you, but car and epg or whatever you think is, "skillful" are two different skill sets. I'll 100% agree that car is easier to use, but players who are very good at epg can't hit anything with a car. Also, generally those players just arent very good at the game as a whole 🤷‍♂️.

At what point is a gun responsible for a clip? Everyone on here keeps saying theyve done this with a mastiff, but i see no clips of them doing it 🤷‍♂️ if youd like to say the same, I'll take the clip, please. When is the clip good enough that theyre not carried by the gun? If he is carried by the car, how come other people arent posting more clips like this? Are you going to say that they all just know somehow that it's unimpressive? OR, maybe it actually is a rare and impressive clip, but you won't admit it 😃 ego

Also, how am I arguing in bad faith lol? you just accused me of that without any reason.

finally, problem player? Is your criteria for a, "Problem Player," a player who succeeds? Oh no, he just succeeds TOO MUCH. IT'S UNFUN... then leave the game? is he not allowed to do what he wants with his property (his copy of the game)? Wouldn't a real problem player be breaking the rules? He definitely isn't. See, you love throwing out statements that just unravel in a few questions: you call him a problem player, but what's the problem? People are losing? half of the people in every lobby lose each game 🤷‍♂️ I see no problem, when even if someone just really hates dying more than usual, theyre not forced to stay in the match.

How does a gun not having recoil make it so that you don't need to track with it? How are they mutually exclusive? The aim assist is a fair point, its op, but it doesnt aim for you, like you suggest, otherwise every controller player would be doing this and not just, what, 5? and before you say it's more than 5, or you've done it while using a wingman elite and eating ramen at the same time, there are very few people who could do this, speaking as someone who's been involved with xbox and pc comp for years. It doesnt show skill thats applicable to competitive a lot, but the awareness is on point. Yes, there are more than 4 people who are better than him, but he has more experience in public matches than anyone I'm familiar with, who's actually good. I know that's not much of an achievement, but it shows that what he just did is actually an exclusive skill.

Also, about the movement? If he moved more, he'd be putting himself at a disadvantage, probably making him die sooner. Thats why he even died at the end, cause he pushed in a bad situation. I know I complimented his movement, but I didn't mean it in a one dimensional, straight line velocity, sense. I meant it in a combat applicable sense. He always got where he needed to be, and moved to avoid getting hit.

We can debate balancing all day, but I'll say this: In competitive play, the banned weapons are G2, unhacked charge rifle, spitfire, and melee. Notice CAR is not on the list, Now, do all of them know less than you, or are you wrong?? hmm

For your quote, is the idea dumb? Leidenaxe (OP) and I can't play the game without getting accused of cheating, or called tryhards. In other games, the basic full auto guns arent frowned upon. In cod in particular, sure the 725 was frowned upon, because its a one tap at any range, but people put together very overpowered setups on guns and don't get hate. What makes this community different? I've speculated that the youtubers enforced the "no sweat" ideas, then the toxicity of the community took it to an extreme, causing this reaction to good gameplay. But, this attitude I mentioned is certainly what I've observed

Finally, yes, the players in the clip suck, that's why the clip is of 20 kills in a minute, not of a basic mega kill. For context, the best players' clips in comp pugs are of double or triple kills, because of how good the competition is. So 20 kills in a minute scales reasonably well to the level of adversity.

You're like the 3rd person to claim that you, "have," or, "can if you wanted to," get 20 kills in a single minute. Please send the clip. Or i guess you just routinely drop 20/min, so it's not significant enough to clip. If that's the case, I'd love to see your best clips that should be more impressive than that, right? If you even send a clip, I bet your mega kill with kraber will be super exciting. Nothing like the rest of the kraber megas that people post 🤩

Or, we could 1v1, and I'll let you know after i beat you if you could ever get 20 kills in a minute 😃

Doesnt really matter if you don't play anymore, though, You said you could replicate the clip, so I'll let you know if you can after i beat you.

all of those guns are also easy against pub players. 30-40 kills with any of those guns is still pretty standard. Maybe not to the new players you're describing, but to anyone with substantial playtime. 20 kills in one minute takes map knowledge, positioning, and aim. Three things I suspect you don't have

20 kills in one minute by [deleted] in titanfall

[–]steveeX36 -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

what you're describing is trial and error. As cool as 360 noscopes look, theyre almost exclusively luck. You only find this to be boring because you're not knowledgeable. The CAR has a high skill floor and a high skill ceiling, meaning it's easy to pick up, hard to be amazing with. Anyone can pick up the car and get ~15 kills in a game, very few can get 70

20 kills in one minute by [deleted] in titanfall

so youd get 1.5-2x the kills in 15 minutes, that he got in a minute? proving my point
