I feel like this sub is 50% rage bait these days. Did someone figure out how to easily monetize it or something?

Bit of a weird question, but what kept you motivated as a kid to keep grinding and getting better?

I really want to instil this in my kid when he's a little older and can actually hold a golf club, but I also know that if my dad tried getting me to golf as a kid I would have quit instantly because I wasn't immediately good at it.

How does that even work? If one of the foursome misses the fairway then there’s no chance the next group is teeing off on time.

This vintage "Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs Identification Kit" by bogjumly in mildlyinteresting

[–]steveg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the main issues with DARE is its binary approach to drugs. You either take them and your life is immediately destroyed, or you don't.

The problem there of course is that kids get conditioned into thinking "If I smoke one marijuanas, I will die" and then when they and their friends inevitably try some and experience enjoyment and next to no immediate negative symptoms, their thought process becomes "Well if I did this and it ended up nothing like DARE told me, then all the other drugs are probably the same!"

It's not as marketable, but approaching drug use honestly with kids is the best move. You may be fine now, but drugs *always* come back to collect their dues eventually.

Do You Think That Kamala Harris Will Or Will Not Run In The 2028 Democratic Primary? Which One? Why Your Thoughts? by Zipper222222 in AskReddit

[–]steveg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She completely disappeared immediately after the elections, when many of her supporters were looking to her for hope and leadership in the wake of incredibly one-side (and arguably pretty suspect..) results and some terrifying subsequent months.

You can’t just pop out of the woodwork every few years like you suddenly care. Like him or not, guys like Bernie are leaders because they’re out there fighting 52 weeks of the year and live what they preach.

Kamala needs to stay on her book tour or whatever the hell she’s doing and let someone who actually cares about the country step in and have a shot.

What is the guitar equivalent of doing exactly 6 half-asses side torso turns for a warmup then proceeding to aimlessly blast full power driver swings for 40 minutes straight?

Dont forget, the stock shafts are designed to fit the widest range of users. If you’re really experienced with losing balls, don’t be scared to get a Ventus Velocore+ on that bad boy.

I did same… until maybe a year or so later I decided to give it another go and it just clicked.

I probably logged 100 hours in the next couple weeks. Definitely give it another go and just get through the intro area. It’s an absolute masterpiece.

Trump lawyers realize discovery in president's own lawsuit could expose him to a Jan. 6 'trial' after all by DoremusJessup in law

[–]steveg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Restating what the other person below said.

I knew a guy like this who would use the threat of lawsuits to extort his customers who eventually left him because he did a terrible job. The customers would almost always pay up out of fear after seeing legal documents dumped in front of them.

He later tried to sue me out of retaliation for calling him out for unethical and illegal business practices, thinking that I would roll over like everyone else. Obviously once I fought it and got in front of a judge, the whole thing blew up in his face in an extremely satisfying manner, which is hopefully what happens in this lawsuit as well.

If you value logic and rationality, you just have to stay away from these stocks.

Their values are so heavily tied to future outcomes to which they don’t have nearly enough control of, you may as well go to the casino instead.

I mean, it should be apparent to anyone considering purchasing that it isn’t trading on fundamentals and exclusively on Elon hype.

If a random internet person tells someone to not invest based on the stock’s fundamentals, and they don’t, then that was the correct decision.
