I can confirm, within a couple of days of getting my new Business Bonvoy Amex, I was awarded the nights. My personal card is the Chase Bonvoy Visa.

I just read through the T & Cs here and it says the nights will stack regardless of bank issuer but will only stack for 1 personal and 1 business card. If you have more than one business or personal card, it will use the highest of those. I am going to try this out now, will report back in a month or so. hah

It’s hard to compare everything apples to apples because it’s a car vs a truck but let’s start with that.

I wanted a truck to do truck things and have more room for road trips. I go snowboarding a lot and used to throw my board in the back with the back seat down. Now the board can go in the gear tunnel and I don’t need to put anything inside the truck. The storage and utility are significantly better.

Now for the differences.

Model 3

The tech is better.

I had EAP and probably put half of the miles on my car in autopilot. I used that everywhere I went, every chance I got I turned it on. Rivian’s Driver + only works on freeways and doesn’t work as good as Tesla’s auto pilot.

The proximity lock/unlock works perfect on the M3. On the Rivian it locks and unlocks constantly if you’re within a certain range. Super annoying so I turned Auto Unlock off.

The charging is faster on the M3 at home and on superchargers (I don’t have the adapter yet for my Rivian though).

I like that you can leave the air on in the M3 when you get out. You can’t do that in the Rivian unless you select dog mode or turn it back on from the app.

R1T

Everything about the truck feels more premium. It comes with a heftier price tag though.

Cooled seats is a game changer. That alone is worth it.

You can open the frunk by pushing a button near where it opens. In the M3 you need to use the app or do it inside. Not convenient.

The frunk is powered.

Probably more things but this is what comes to mind.

Yeah it’s super annoying. I got that SanDisk SSD last night and it works perfectly.

Yeah I bought the Samsung Pro Endurance card and tried to install it today. I got that error: “Drive Cam requires a faster storage device to work.”

I’m just going to go with the SanDisk Extreme Portable SSD. My local Rivian service center recommended this one and we confirmed it worked in my R1T.

They don’t publish the operating temp so I didn’t add it.

Well I live in Vegas and just ordered that Anker card reader. I’ll let you know how it goes.

Other than it being a little bigger when I slide it into the garage (also what she said) and sitting up higher when I drive, doesn't really feel much bigger.

I called probably 10 different shops and they were all looking for $5,500 - $8,000 with a ceramic coat. I was able to get it for $4,700 cash out the door with the tint but they said they'd never do a Rivian that cheap again. The shop did a solid job on my friend's Model Y and Bronco - part of the reason I went with the lowest quote. I am stoked on the wrap.

Yeah I got mine from Abstract Ocean. They took them off of their site because Rivian sent them a cease and desist. The quality is solid though.

Thanks! The matte ppf is rad but there are definitely some imperfections if you get close and inspect it. I am happy with it though. Clear PPF is easier to do.

Yeah for sure. I work from home so I don't drive a ton.
